Homelessness

This article doesn't surprise me at all. She used to live next to me, she made my life and my mother's life hell. Her random offensive comments, her nasty letter to us, trying to let my dogs out of the yard, just to name some of the incidents. This isn't the first time her "homelessness" has made it to the media, first time was under her real name, http://www.theherald.com.au/news/local/ ... 35862.aspx

She sounds like an animal lover at least. She's kept her two little dogs with her throughout her ordeal. She might have thought your dogs weren't getting enough attention or walks. I've slipped a note or two to neighbours over the years about my perceived neglect of their pets.

The RSPCA laughed when they came and saw my dogs. Her letter wasn't about animal neglect. It was more to do with stuff like "You're a worthless human" and so on not to mention the comments like "go eat" that she used to say. Maybe it's normal to most people, but I found them rather odd. I guess I'll wait another 2 years to find an article on her in another paper.

She sounds as though she was a bit uptight. Perhaps her financial worries were starting to kick in and she was angry with everyone, but still there's no excuse for being personally abusive.

There are many people who believe that the boat people should be entitled to priority housing before anyone else, but it is obvious that Australian citizens aren't given the same consideration as a refugee who is always given shelter, medical attention and services. Perhaps our homeless haven't fled from a war zone, but their lives have often been compromised seriously through ill health or misfortune. Many of them have spent their lives working and paying taxes, but when they find themselves homeless - a stray cat or dog would have better luck finding food and shelter.

It isn't only refugees in detention centres who try to kill themselves - many Australians suicide also as they can see no other way out of their predicament.

Place your worldly possessions in short-term storage, then purchase a one way ticket overseas. Then return without papers, minimal clothing on a boat and be granted priority housing, and or hotel accommodation until public housing becomes available, it wont take long, but if it does, enjoy the hotel/motel style room service, spa and pool until it does.

Problem solved.
