Then I must be very naughty, 'coz I eat protected species and hunt feral animals in National Parks.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

I wouldn't have a problem with the culling of feral animals in National Parks - but what happens to the bodies when the Shooting Party sweeps through there blasting everything in sight? They're not regulated. Do they haul them off for food, or just leave the carcasses there to rot. Unfortunately the NSW government - both Labor and Liberal have made deals with the Shooters Party to add some species of native animals to their already extensive list of "game".

There's no point pretending to protect any animal in Australia. An individual probably can't do too much damage - but these huge parties of hunters can. The aborigines can shoot whatever they like - so can the shooting parties - what does it matter anymore what an individual kills?

The population is so massive now, one day there won't be anything left to kill.

pardon lack of punctuation, in a phone queue, so typing 1 handed.

i don't have a problem with leaving feral's carcasses to rot, it's food for other critters .. eg wedgetail eagles.
so say someone shoots a fox or cat. you don't get money for skins, there's no bounty, and with foxes, they're rank, and the smell stays on you.

remember harry butler in the wild?
OK, he set up most of his finds to save time, but 1 thing he said i agree with is 'it doesn't matter if you kill a few animals, so long as you look after their environment, the species will survive'

as for hunting enthusiasts blasting everything that moves, well they too realise if they wipe it out, they'll have nothing to hunt. personally i'd rather have them doing feral culls than the lebos from lakemba mosque doing their jihad training in royal national park, who literally do shoot anything that moves.

Your peak-humanism rhetoric has been been refuted since Malthus was a boy and Schneider took up his scare campaign.

The marine park issue is clothed in the same sheep skin as the carbon tax and is no different in that it is full of wooly science and unable to be scientifically proven beyond doubt but enables proponents to extract billions of dollars based on closing down natural activity
LOL.

The carbon tax and fishing bans will seem like a gentle nudge from a caring friend, in comparison to what is to come.

Round two is a fishing tax and carbon ban.
