I assume he's referring to Bill Shorten, David Feeney, Bernie Ripoll, Mark Arbib, Michael Forshaw, Don Farrell, Paul Howes and other union leaders who brought him down after he cut parliamentary entitlements by some $4 million a year, called them all fuckers whose opinion was not important when they objected to the cuts, and explained that they could "get fucked", asking "don't you fucking understand me?".

To me, it is an abject failure of the Westminster system. The fact that the prime minister is elected by these faceless men who directly benefit from bigger and more wasteful government spending, rather than by popular vote, means that anyone with the executive nous to cut parliamentary overspending and excessive entitlements, someone with the balls to tell public servants to work harder and shouts at them if they miss their deadlines, is toppled from the job despite being widely preferred by the public whose taxpayer money he is protecting.

Julie and her backers need to carefully look at the message they are sending out. Right now their only complaint about Rudd's leadership is he's intolerant of mediocrity, demands difficult to achieve workloads and lets you have it both barrels if you let him down. Well grow up princess.

It's time Australians were able to elect their own executive branch of government. I've been saying it for years, and this ridiculous leadership spill demonstrates it. There is simply no sensible reason why the head of the executive branch should be the current leader of the party voted into the majority of the legislative branch. We must separate executive and legislative branches, it is an obvious and corrupt conflict of interest to be both, as this spill over parliamentary slush funds demonstrates.

The choice of executive is the most important aspect of any democracy. This choice will be made on monday, and neither you nor I are able to influence it. This cannot stand.
