Matt,
You once produced a great view of the ABC sites consolidated into one view.
I guess this was HTML calling the sites data access services/routines directly.
Is this possible for all the PAs we have around the place, that is, have one screen view of them all?
If so, what is involved?
Can any dummy (like me) do it? If so what skills would I need to learn? (is it more than HTML)

And his name was Mattus I thought from SSSF. His code showed on one view SSSF, IT and Scribbly.AiA in Atlanta wrote:there used to be an IT genius named Matt back in the day ... didn't he work at KFC and posted the phone number of the store?

#1 Why would you want to? Isn't there enough shit on one forum, that you've got to go looking for 4 times the amount
None of the PA forums are set up like SSSF, with separate frames for topics lists, post lists and threads. You could probably merge them into one window, but then you'd end up with each forum just taking up a quarter of the screen. Not really of much use.
(BTW, maybe you were thinking of "Dr Matt" from SSSF? I don't really remember, but don't think there was a Mattus there.)

Why invite cross posting dramas from elsewhere?
Linking said forums would validate complaints made here about comments made elsewhere.
I've seen forums where cross posting is a big no no and incurs deletion of such posts, and think it the wisest manor to deal with imported squabbles.

There was some fucker who produced a programme which, when used, allowed a Member to see ABC Boards on one screen. Those Boards did not include PA....and the fucker's name had no similarity whatsoever with Mattus or a Dr. Matt, or even anything similar.Super Nova wrote:Matt,

There were quite a few "mega-forums" about at one stage. Ilago, or something had a good one. I still have one saved away somewhere, that I modified for myself (havn't used it in quite a while though).

Aussie,
Thanks for your feedback. Invaluable as always.
Boxy,
Yourright. Now I have had some feedback it is a stupid idea.
Why would I want 4 bitching screens when I can have one.
I thought it might be a good technical execise but I now conclude I have better things to do like watch some grass grow or some paint drying.
It was just an idea I pushed out for feedback.
It is a dead idea. Still born.
