What cricketer (or cricketer's partner) died from Prostate Cancer?
Glen McGrath put a lot into this when Jane died from breast cancer. If some footballer/cricketer/athlete dies "young" from prostate cancer then I would expect that person's "partner" to start a similar thing as Glen McGrath has done.
Wasn't there some bloke who recently died at 36 from bowel cancer? Was he a sports person or a media person? Perhaps there will be a special "colour" to wear to remind young males that bowel cancer can affect you ...like prostate cancer ..... it isn't an Old Person's Disease.

You do not need to have a prerequisite of death to get support for cancer.
As afterall Jane McGrath did not play cricket for Australia.
The nearest you will get for ANY support for prostate cancer is the KFC big bash where each time a player hits a 6 the CBA will donate $1,000, half only goes to prostate cancer reseach the other half goes to breast cancer research.
Prostate cancer kills around the same many men as does breast cancer kills women. Or breast cancer kills around the same many women as does prostate cancer kills men.
There is Movember but a lot of the media (eg ABC) boycot any reference to that. Why because the ABC don't believe that prostate cancer kills anyone or causes anyone's death!!!!
Whereas before Movember their is Breast Cancer awareness month (Oct) and the ABC saturate their airwaves about that. In fact the ABC gave more awareness to women's international osteroporosis day which fell in November! And then in December the ABC gave more awareness on women who are effected by aids on World Aids day than they did for the entire month of November for Movember!
Even in June during Men's International Health Week priority is given by the ABC to lesbians pride month!!
And no, you won't get any support from the media, and that includes when it is primarily a sportsman dies from prostate cancer.
The AFL's Mr. Football Ted Whitten, one of the highest icons for the AFL died from prostate cancer in 1995, and no prostate support has come from the AFL or media.
What has happened is his son organised an annual charity match to raise funds in his honor with very little media coverage. And that charity match is diminishing due to the lack of media support.
Whereas the AFL devote a round once a year to raise support for breast cancer, complete with free admission for women (only) who wear pink! No AFL player/woman has ever died from breast cancer. The AFL do not devote a round to prostate cancer.
The AFL media commentator Sam Newman has prostate cancer, yet is mocked and ridiculed as a result. There's no Newman foundation being organised for men's health.
The AFL/VFL Hawthorn champion Peter Crimmins died from testicular cancer and the AFL support or response -> nothing! No Crimmins foundation for men's health.
Sports commentator and suburban cricketer David Fordham died from prostate cancer. As did international sports writer Michael Manly. No Fordham foundation for men's health.
International Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Khan died from prostate cancer.
And let me know when you go to the supermarket and see any items packaged in blue like when you get saturated with the pink products.
US Lance Armstrong world cycling champion (7 consecutive Tour de France wins) is suffering from testicular cancer and subsequent brain tumors yet no publicity on this disease.
Even when billionaire Ricard Pratt died in 2009 from prostate cancer no increase into men's health resulted despite Pratt assisting past Labor governments! There is no Pratt foundation for men's health.

More on the useless Haddin: gives away lots of byes due to him not using his feet to get behind the ball's trajectory.
Drops Tendulkar on 80 but fortunately Hussey cleaned up to take the catch.
Haddin is extremely inconsistant when batting.
How much longer does Australia have to carry Haddin?

Ponting save his arse, but I can't wait for him to go. Very bad captain, just barely hanging on as a batsman.
