Oh, I see. I don't care much for Pollies either, they don't actually live here, they live in their own Electorates, as you well know. I still tell everyone I was born in Melbourne. Canberra is just a big country town. I've never seen a Federal Politician in the flesh. Nor have I seen a local ACT pollie for that matter.IQS.RLOW wrote:Its is similar to power vomiting

I hate the way Mexicans( those from the southern states like SA, VIC ) say castle, its fucking CARS ILL NOT cas il.
Bart doesn't say cas-il, he says car-sil...but he does say Camm-bra, dont worry, I will remedy this over the coming years....may take me 5, or 15...perhaps even 50, but he'll eventually learn how to say Canberra properly.

Canberra shouldn't really be a state, it's more like a gated estate (Imagine castle like estates with a fake muddy lake winding around it) ... and due to the abundance of politicians, bureaucrats and internationalists who reside there, they should pronounce it ...Cant-work-hard, as this would be most appropriate.

Canberrans voted AGAINST becoming a separate Territory in 2 Referendums, but Bob Hawke said "stiff shit". Believe me, most people who live here would rather it the way it was BEFORE 1988.mellie wrote:

Politicians do NOT live in Canberra. You should know that. They reside in their own Electorate, except when Parliament is Sitting and that is only a few weeks each year. So, the person you voted for lives near you most of the year, not near ME. Thank god.

And so typical of Labor elitism, imperialism, I'm just waiting for them to build the great wall of China around it.Neferti~ wrote:Canberrans voted AGAINST becoming a separate Territory in 2 Referendums, but Bob Hawke said "stiff shit". After-all, it's still the only place one may purchase fireworks for New Years, or have they stopped that now, not wanting the 'outsiders' climbing over the wall and into their domain to buy them to take back home.
Buying illegal fireworks was their 'Tourism" and asside from being forced to go there as a kid for an excursion, why would anyone want to go there, much less live in the "Gated State"?
It's too sterile, lacks character, soul and atmosphere, no wonder Howard chose not to live there.
It's as barren as Gillards fruit bowl. Possibly more so if rumours are correct...re- a termination of pregnancy, mid 20's.

Thank goodness there's no future rangas!
And of course it'd be impossible with Australia's first bozo too. Especially as the cougar Bobby has his eye on him.
