IQ pop-quiz

Post by mellie » Fri Dec 16, 2011 8:20 pm

So a man remains critical in a coma after falling from a great height of approx 3 metres, whereby he fractures his skull, ribs, shoulder, vertebrae and punctured his lung, ... no witnesses present...the fall was from a ladder, so which way was the baseball bat facing?

Ok, not funny.... and as you have probably guessed, this is about Molly Meldrum who has sustained all these injuries in just a single 3 metre fall from a ladder whilst hanging Xmas decorations in his house yesterday evening.

Does this sound a bit extreme to you, to me it sounds like someone has kicked the shit out of him before he hit the floor. That or he got really unlucky and rolled out his front door and onto the street and under the wheels of a truck after falling from the ladder.

I wonder what his stance on same-sex marriage was?
Sadly, we may never know if old Molly doesn't pull through the next 48 hours.

Molly reminds me of an old friend of mine who unless you knew him personally, would not know he was gay...and like Molly, doesn't ram his sexuality down peoples throats.

All the best Molly, you are in our thoughts.

I just cant get over the injuries, sounds like he had brittle bone disease to have shattered into pieces this way after only falling 3 metres from a ladder.

Well Molly was extremely lucky that his gardener discovered him.
Else he may have been there for a while before getting medical attention.

I hope he pulls though, ...stinking bloody Xmas decorations, not only are they a choking hazard, and cause house fires, but ....

Dangerous bloody things!

It's always the Gardner, or the janitor who finds them.

No, 65 year olds aren't generally that brittle....80 perhaps, but 65 is a bit early to be brittling like this after a 3 metre fall.

I mean think about it....how the heck did he land in order to have done this much damage?

I've always like Molly. He's been around since I was a kid.

He was only 65 - I thought he was a lot older when I last saw him. He was looking very frail. It wouldn't have taken a big fall to inflict that amount of damage to him.

Hope he recovers.

(His final interview just hours before the 'fall' with Steve Visard)
Perhaps it's cryptic... if I thought my life was in danger, and wanted to tell the world something important before I left, I would draft a cleverly worded letter or script and post it to those I knew might be able to decypher it... or if I were a radio commentator, I might broadcast it on national radio.

Oh god, I just played it backwards.........it says ..........
