You know Mantra, this warped American reality TV culture is starting to concern me, ... not as much as their toddler beauty pageants, but it's getting close.

These people are nothing like Amish people, they have thanked all their fans for their support just after 45 year old Reality TV mum Michelle miscarried what would have been her 20th baby at 19 weeks.
This smacks of exhibitionism, opportunism, intentionally scripted nonsense and dysfunction.
Amish know no other way of life, they are born into their lifestyle...this couple are a pair of attention seeking whack-jobs milking sensationalist American television and their viewers for all they can get.
Not healthy, not even entertaining.
Just troubling that these people seem to think they are celebrities, as can be demonstrated by the way they thanked their fans for their support after a miscarriage the day before.
Sorry, but I find this a little disturbing.
Dont you?
The moral decline of American television standards just keeps sinking lower and lower.

Here is an example of another .....
http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/tv/toddlers-tiaras.
Look how unhinged this kids parents are... the mother looks like she abuses substances and or has some sort of mental health issue.
The Learning channel (TLC) has been criticised for departing from the original nature of its programming, by airing shows of controversial nature with what is described as no educational value. TLC programs that were under fire from critics and the media included Toddlers and Tiaras, Sarah Palin's Alaska, Extreme Couponing, 19 Kids and Counting, (The family Mantra introduced us to here) Kate Plus 8 and Sister Wives.
It's just so typical of Americas exploitive reality TV, a spin-off from their Dr Phil/Jerry Springer type shows which I think are socially harmful and have little or not educational value what so ever as The Learning Channel (TLC) implies.
Dumbing down the masses you're not wrong!
A little more on the company that's branched out into airing warped reality TV shows about disturbed peoples real lives for idiotic people to amuse themselves with.
These media-caged and kept animals could be likened to circus freaks/animals...or organ grinders monkeys.
You know, there was a time when you could pay to visit mental asylums for entertainment value.
Is this not similar?
Tragic that America haven't quite grasped the reality of their own voyeuristic tendency to watch this crap.

I ask you, what right does this company have to exploit children on their shows, irrespective of whether or not their psycho parents consent to this abuse?
I hope all these little kiddies grow up and sue the ass TLC.
I'll put money on it that when they grow up they will do just that.
What goes around comes around.
Mantra, the article about this family you posted wasn't a story as much as it was a viral marketing stunt to capture your morbid curiosity with a view to getting you to tune in and watch this crap on TLC.

Back to the topic of multiple births via IVF, it was far more interesting.

Was elated to hear that that sow dropped her 20th fetus. It would have been an idjit like the rest of them anyway. And to think a popular TV show was made out of these cretins.mellie wrote:You know Mantra, this warped American reality TV culture is starting to concern me, ... not as much as their toddler beauty pageants, but it's getting close.
