I read the story and although this bloke looks like a paedophile, apparently it's only the side effects of the drugs that have caused him to become one. He is a former member of the Labor party.

It's amazing what some drugs can do. Perhaps people who have a predilection to shoplifting and paedophilia should arm themselves with this drug Cabergoline prior to committing crimes so in the event they get caught - they can blame the drug and then be declared innocent.
A judge gave Martin a suspended jail sentence because his offending was directly linked to Cabergoline, a drug he was prescribed in 2006 for Parkinson's disease.

The drug is distributed by Pfizer and Aspen Pharmacare.

The class action has been started by Melbourne firm Arnold, Thomas and Becker.

It involves about 200 people who developed a range of gambling, sex and shopping addictions.

A sex addiction can be pursued without involving 12 year olds, though

If the drug company failed to warn patients about side effects (as the article implies) then they do have a case to answer. The current case is not about overturning Martin's conviction.
