Has anyone noticed the lack of political opinion and news in our media recently? There is almost nothing and it makes you wonder what our government is up to?

Although there were a lot of negative headlines when the Howard government was in power, at least there was plenty of information out there so we could roughly follow the Coalition's movements. In the last few months - an article might appear briefly, then it's gone or there isn't any follow up to the story.

Yes, and thats because Bob Brown and Gillard radically modified our media laws covertly early on in the piece, shortly after a Gillard government was elected (Refer to what I wrote on deeps forum re- anyone who writes 2 or more news articles a day being automatically qualified to call themselves a journalist, this and exploit source confidentiality changes) initially, so as to induce lazy and unqualified political opinion, so as to ultimately justify (warrant) their (a GALP governments) resultant increase in censorship laws.



Thats why they relaxed media laws to begin with, and silly bloggers (wanna-be journalists and unqualified others thought this would be fantastic)--Effectively, they gave them enough rope so as to justify their hanging themselves, and it's going to get worse as the 2013 election nears.


The law of GALP = If theres no problem, make one, then fix it to allude to their having achieved something, this and in the process, pay useless lazy government bureaucrats to sit on their hands in the process as they pretend to be working.

Sky News is probably the better of the political news channel options lately.


But not everyone can afford Foxtel, this is where Labor have an advantage when it comes to brainwashing their ill-informed poverty stricken un/underemployed vote-base.

Gillard despises pay-TV, they prefer free-to-air government controlled media they have the capacity to filter, censor more so at their discretion.

I have Foxtel yet I've only watched Sky News a couple of times. I've found it too influenced by the Murdoch conglomeration which has been offputting.

Where has balanced reporting gone? We're left with two choices - the RW Murdoch press or nothing. This government is doing itself a disservice by censoring the media and I don't think the Greens are responsible. They only asked that interviews were conducted a little civilly, not a big ask.

Censorship occurs when anyone has an alternative viewpoint to the GALP, otherwise it is GALP propaganda that must be enirsed at all times and blindly accepted without any questions whatsoever. If you don't spruik GALP policies then you'll be locked up!!! Well that's the objective.
We are on the train to socialism, then communism. And I just bet Gillard & Brown have an abundance of blue plastic bags (Killing Fields).
First step is to remove all opposing views!
Next..........the thought police will be locking up anyone anti-GALP!

The Labor Govt is actually fixing the economic fuck ups of the previous govt, making sure people have a decent standard of living and secure jobs, ensuring big business is accountable yet at the same time sustainable and generally not giving any right wing nutjob journo's anything to whine about. Barring, of course, that circus clown Alan Jones who tent poles in his pants at the mere thought of Abbott in budgie smugglers.

Tom, so you don't believe the people are capable of arriving at their own conclusions and determining their own political stance after having heard/read both sides of the story then?

When you take away a peoples autonomy, the right to decide for themselves who they agree/disagree with, this is communism.
