Yes. When she came up here to the White House on March 7th, they got along instantly, both as heads of State and in a personal way.
Well but then, he's one handsome dude and a smooth talker, if there ever was one,

As China grows in strength obviously the US will have a greater presence in AUS as well as the rest of the Pacific. If I were still in AUS I'd be damn grateful.

Sometimes I forget and I ask myself the question, would the world be a better place if the US was not so powerful. I generally conclude it would be worse and a more dangerous place to live.

Not that I approve of everything my government does - and I certainly have disapproved of a hell of a lot in the past ten years or so - but I too think the world would be a more dangerous place without the US ..

I'm sure you're right Annie, but their encroachment on so many countries with their military bases turns everyone against them. They once had in excess of a 1,000 bases, but now there are approximately 700. This appears to be overkill as many nations resent their intrusion.

Nice map.
I wonder what the map would look like if you considered.
- CIA influence
- Puppet governments that comply with the US
- Big corporation control and influence over the local ecconomy and politics
- Selling of weapons
The US has driven the open market and concept of one global ecconomy. They created this and now are poor performers in their own creation.
Go China go....

I have no idea. I just googled for a Map showing USA Military Bases. Apparently they have 60,000 Marines in Japan and Korea? That sounds a lot but I am sure that is what I heard. Makes 2,500 eventually in Darwin sound piss weak .... however, the Indonesians are not thrilled about it. BO and Jules will be in Bali tomorrow for whatever Meeting it is.
