Our nations most powerful media mogul and both sides of government...along with a plethora of corporate benefactors had a vested interest in 'NOT' expanding on this matter our scientists are rather concerned about.

Eco-Facism at it's best!

Thus I conclude, not all science has a positive influence on society and politics.

It depends very much on who's funding the science, this and who utilizes it and for what reason.

So science is a formalised version of making it up as you go along? Science is about paperwork?
As long as you are willing to honestly evaluate the results (rather than allow human perception to cloud them), then it is an entirely scientific way to go about making decisions.
So it is honesty that makes something scientific, nothing more?
Oh look. It's the stupendous "Question Man"
Able to leap massive conclusions and never explain himself with a series of inane questions

You'd be surprised how often merely showing a eprson what they said is enough to make them change their mind.

Here are a few articles that go into what the scientific method really is and what distinguishes it.

You'd be surprised how often merely showing a person what you think think they said makes you a giant douche

No. The scientific method is what has been shown to work over the centuries. You make it up as you go along, but combine it with feedback. When what you make up works in a repeatable fashion, you've proven a hypothesis 8-)

No, evaluation of results in an impartial manner is the basis of science.

No. The scientific method is what has been shown to work over the centuries.
Which is? Or are you saying the scientific method is whatever works?
You make it up as you go along, but combine it with feedback.
I was taught the basics of the modern scientific method in high school science. It is nothing new. The only things I have added are some of Kuhn's ideas.

I had a bit of a rebel science teacher in high school, who taught us that governments world wide capitalise on predictable events, as history repeats itself this and outcomes of these events are then passed down as wisdom to their offspring.

Some wisdom is shared, some guarded jealously for a variety of reasons.

Ie.. Watch as a comet falls into our sun... October 5 2011

http://www.accuweather.com/blogs/outdoo ... he-sun.asp

However.....
Note how in the following article they don't mention a comet falling into our sun which gave rise to our earth enduring the hottest day in October ever recorded, leaving it up to the gullible masses to ponder neurotically themselves.

"Oh, it must be that Global Warming thingy they told us would happen"

http://www.people.co.uk/news/uk-world-n ... -23460226/

Whilst other articles our globalist main stream media indulged us with went so far as to attribute this hot October day to "Climate Change" .

:) Yu dig?

It's lots of things, depending on what you are applying it to.

But the basic is, you get an idea, try it, evaluate the results, improve on your idea if needed, try again, re-evaluate the results. Repeat as necessary.

It's not rocket surgery. Any hairless ape could do it.
