Computers were built by man, based on emulation, simulation and the human brain with a top-down specification that explicitly defines which details of their operation are important.
Thus can it be said that these climate data-models are subject/limited to creative design, which itself is quite subjective.
Arts a very personal thing I guess.
I'm not a fan of the Hockey-stick 'design' 'piece'...I prefer my art in a book or on a wall, not stored in a private gallery, filing cabinet/electronic safe where only a select few members of an intergovernmental panel of 'changers' may appreciate it for all it's glory, worth and beauty.
Otherwise known as the IPCC graph, (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) whereby the IPCC had to invent a whole new calculus to support their Climate Change theory, one yet to be proven.

There is one way for climate science to be "proven", and that is for it to happen. By that time, it's a fait accompli... and it becomes pointless to do anything.
Science in these cases, is about weighing up the evidence, the probabilities, the consequences of both inaction and action, and making an informed decision.

Al Gore argued that Venice would be underwater within 10 years.... uum, that was 10 or so years ago however.boxy wrote:There is one way for climate science to be "proven", and that is for it to happen. By that time, it's a fait accompli... and it becomes pointless to do anything.

These phenomenons are cyclic, this is why when minor planets zip by they would rather we kept our nose to the ground.
Al Gore knew we would be enduring a fase of increased solar activity,(flairs) this and had hoped this would result in what its clear...has in fact resulted in the exact opposite.. whereby our poles ice is in fact expanding...not melting.
Elenins effect is being felt all over the world right now as we speak.
And no, she didn't just disappear, minor planets rarely do.
They were expecting more, (well, had hoped) But it backfired.
For years, a global government has been capitalising on anticipated cyclic events just like this .... is how our ancients knew when and where to plant crops.
Now, we have taken this science to a whole new level, this and not only can we predict where disaster is likely to strike, we are actually making use of their effects.
Eg....

Science and knowledge is power, always has been.
And this is why.
And this is why.

It's cute that you think that Al Gore has done the science. He's a politician/entertainer

Al Gore was an actor, PR consultant.
Cute how you assume I think this numb skull who as a Harvard sophomore "earned" a D in Natural Sciences 6 in a course presciently named "Man's Place in Nature", the year he evidently spent more time smoking cannabis than studying its place among other plants within the ecosystem.
Cute.
Evidently, the 'company' which produced Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” wanted to donate 50,000 DVD copies of the schlockumentary to the National Science Teachers Association so that educators around the country could brainwash America’s youth with Gore’s junk science. ... none the less, it went global... Viral marketing at it's best.
Fear and curiosity is a wonderful motivator.

So science is a formalised version of making it up as you go along? Science is about paperwork? The scientific method is based on what we do all the time, what we have always done. It's been formalised, is all.
So it is honesty that makes something scientific, nothing more?As long as you are willing to honestly evaluate the results (rather than allow human perception to cloud them), then it is an entirely scientific way to go about making decisions.

When it's clear, man has found his place in nature, even if Al Gore failed his course, and now they are attempting to milk it for all it's worth.
Al Gore was their poster child, this plan was hatched well before he was a twinkle in his fathers eye.
Are you aware Hitlers Nazi party had a fascist green faction, consumed with eco-environmentalism,(perhaps even eco-terrorism) and were devising strategies to capitalise on junk eco-science as far back as then?
Eco-socialism.
Guilt, curiosity, purpose, ignorance and fear are all powerful motivators.

Able to leap massive conclusions and never explain himself with a series of inane questions

Did you read this FD?

Now why would Rupert Murdoch's nephew be investing heavily in weather technology capable of exacerbating anticipated climatic natural phenomena?
Anna Bligh had struck a water deal with Japan via MoU, Japan pulled out at the last minute, decided to buy elsewhere. Some believe Japan pulled-out when they realised our water was laced with silver-iodine and other harmful chemicals (due to the Thai Weather making technology the QLD government had used in the lead-up to the QLD floods...(Japanese are purists, like their water clean) so she had no choice but to let the water go...hence the inland tsunami.
Like they say, every cloud has a silver lining, looks like Anna Bligh found hers at the tax-payers expense.
They were testing this 'new' rainmaking technology for the first time outside the nation it was developed in...(Thailand)...and according to those who sold the patent, and a number of Australian scientists being stifled right now. ... testing this new technology in the lead-up to the wet season, when floods were already forecast, was positively negligent, some even think deliberate...when every drop counts, well, before Japan pulled out and purchased their water elsewhere.
Ps- Malcolm Turnbull also invested heavily in this Thai weather technology, which explains why neither side of politics wants to touch on this interesting revelation.
