Malaysia recommits to Julia Gillard's boatpeople plan

by: Matthew Franklin : The Australian

MALAYSIA has reconfirmed its commitment to Julia Gillard's stalled Malaysian Solution on border security, despite Labor's inability to win parliamentary support for the deal.

''Both prime ministers reaffirmed their commitment to the Malaysia-Australia transfer agreement as an innovative and effective approach to combating people smuggling,'' a spokesman said after the meeting."

Big whoop, nice one SMH, is this supposed to be news?

Let us know when the situation changes... because we are tired of recycled headlines making news.

We all know she remains committed to what the high court (along with most of Australia) deem inhumane and illegal.

Yet she blames Abbott for her failure to weigh up the legal challenges before formulating the deal with a country thats not even a signatory to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees convention.

Did she do her homework? NO!!

Ok, one option would be to try and legislate around the High Court decision, but the government does not have the numbers to do this. The Greens, who control the Senate, oppose offshore processing, while the Coalition opposes using Malaysia.

Now despite Greens wielding the balance of power in the senate ...Gillard prefers to attack both Tony Abbott and the high court judge , accusing the judge of 'inconsistencies' (a politically correct way of saying incompetence) which I think is all a crock of shit.

It's odd that the high court judge would be this interventionist, because even if he hadn't opposed it, there was always the matter of the Greens and Coalition being opposed to it.

Gillards got no intentions of processing them in Malaysia, but needs to be seen as trying.

Senseless politicking... she'll do anything to avoid discussion about "The carbon-tax we had to have."..Like Keatings recession we had to have also.

Gosh, even Keating had the grace to condemn this sham-wow labor government, for heaves sake, Gillards lost 1/4 of her staff within a year of taking the leadership, her performance is atrocious... she flits from thing to thing, cant seem to stay on task and or get the job done.

Now she's just Gillard, the substitute Prime Minister we had to have, but would rather not.
Shortly before the 2007 federal election, Paul Keating criticised Julia Gillard for lacking an understanding of principles such as basic enterprise-bargaining set under his government in the late 1980s and early 1990;s then had the audacity to execute a public smear and fear campaign based on "speculation" at first, the blatant lies when Tony made it clear, even went so far as to sign a contract to reassure Australians he had absolutely no intentions of fulfilling idiotic Gillards prophecy, when despite this, she went on to air commercials and falsely, relentlessly and publicly accused Abbott of hatching a plan to resurrect Work Choices none the less.. when by Keatings own admission, Gillard couldn't even get with her own party's policies, as Labors industrial relations spokesperson.

Gillards political history is rather sketchy, in fact, I cant think of a single thing she hasn't stuffed, ...what has she achieved?

What was the basis for which she was elected after having already stuffed so many projects, ie School Buildings, Pink Bats, Clinker Cars...she's freaking hopeless, and Keating knew it, but after Rudd, Gillard was all they had who was willing to bend the rules and destroy public faith and confidence in their government by introducing unpopular policy against the magority of Australians will, after pledging otherwise.

Now we know why she railroaded the 2010 campaign with fear and smear propaganda ...re- Howards Work Choices)..., because this was done with a view to shifting the coalitions and the publics attention off her own underhanded agenda which was to introduce her own predecessors (Rudds) unpopular Tax re-badged , a Tax she said would not occur under a government she lead.

Like they say, it's always the thief that points the finger first.... Gillard is no brain child, but she's animal cunning, like a rat. Will say and do anything if it means getting what she wants, even if she knew going back on her word was most un-Australian, and would leave Australians feeling as though they have been shafted and disillusioned by the government that promised them so much more, and never delivered on a single pre-election promise....and whats worse, never had any intentions of doing so.

Gillard has corrupted our nations democratic process, having set the bar quite low, ethics wise, when it comes to the unethical manner in which she's willfully and deceitfully conducted herself as the illegitimate leader of our nation without so much as a mandate.
If Australians cant trust their government, then can we expect others to?

The truth is, Gillard was installed for the same reason Rudd was, to complete Keatings "Interrupted Revolution" he just had to have, long after he left and be a UN puppet.

Labors leaders don't think for themselves, they follow orders... they recycle policies or borrow them off Americas democrats. Even Beasley gave an emissions tax a crack.

Kim Beasley was against a GST. He wanted to “Roll Back GST”. Now Labor is in GST stays. Liberal is against Carbon Tax but once they are in power have vowed to repeal it, and I think they will come through with this promise,(so long as Gillard doesn't make any major unprecedented constitutional changes between then and now).
