Fancy a Camilla, Queen of the desert?
She's so healthy - I don't think she'll retire until she's dead and by then Charles will be too old to take over. Although he doesn't seem overly keen on the job or he would have pushed his mother aside by now.
She looks bloody good for 85, well looks good is not the right phrase, she acts like she still has all her faculties, she seems pretty switched on still and acts like it. Her mum lasted until she was a hundred or so ,and so could Lizzy, she could even out live Charlie at that rate. Prince Phillip seems pretty good for 90 also, they both seem very fit for their age.

I have to say, I defend Gillard on this one... jokes aside.

.....Prince Camilla and Princess Diana's bridal curtsy ....

....now Prince Williams and Kates ...

Theres not much difference, it's that same brittle sourly etiquette smile, you might expect to see from GG Quentin Bryce at her heavily pregnant daughters gun-shot wedding whereby the bride and groom had only met just weeks, or months before.

At least Quentin Bryce's is warm, Queen Elizabeth II has the smile of a bonesmen.

Admittedly, she's looking better, 'softer' with age, she's not as severe as she was , back in her Diana murdering days.

Gillard's "dresser" should have enquired as to what the Queen was wearing to whatever it was when both turned up wearing "white and silver" outfits. I observed that the Queen has a better figure and much better ankles than Gillard will ever have. Gillard has table legs, no ankles ...

Can't find the picture of both standing together which is probably just as well.

PS. Didn't Rudd bow to the POTUS?

Haha. You must notice the most minute details Mel. I haven't even noticed her ankles although they seem irrelevant in the scheme of things. I'll have a better look next time I see a pic of her.

My daughter thinks Julia Gillard looks like a red-back spider, (I am careful not to trash individuals in the company of my daughter, because she repeats everything she hears ).... so I asked her why.

She said because she has a big back part like a spider. I know she meant ass, but the back was amusing enough.

Though,

I think she takes her lessons on male courtship from the black-widow spider.

I think she intentionally wore white and silver like the Queen, just another micro-republic inconsequential statement of hers, inching herself closer the the throne. Tims at home building her one in the shed.

Why be Prime Minister, or President, when you can be the Queen?

I think she's probably pulling these little stunts to gauge public reaction, if so, it's likely she had the Queens blessing.

Any publicity, however dull must be quite refreshing, given the press are on their best behavior and promised faithfully not to give her too much of a hard time while we have company.

But as soon as that Queen departs....... it's back to business as usual.

I wonder if she'll move back into the lodge once the queens left?

Again, I don't believe Gillards and the queens wardrobe clash was a simple wardrobe error....it's not the first time she's done this.

Recall this...

Even her step daughter, Tims love Child has a knack for clashing with Here Gillards wardrobe.
