Gillard issues warning over leakers-AGAIN!

Post by mellie » Mon Oct 17, 2011 3:35 pm

JULIA Gillard has warned senior ministers to maintain cabinet confidentiality after Labor was hit by damaging leaks over its asylum-seeker policy.

And as the Prime Minister moved to douse speculation about her leadership, insisting she will remain in the nation's top job until 2013, two new opinion polls showed she continues to trail Tony Abbott by a large margin.

Ms Gillard did not respond directly today to breaches of cabinet confidentiality revealing a split among ministers over how to process asylum-seekers, following the collapse of her Malaysian Solution.

Ms Gillard said she would deal with cabinet matters confidentially, and in a coded swipe at her predecessor, Kevin Rudd, said she had “rebuilt” the cabinet system.

Quick, someone blame Tony Abbott...it's got to be his fault, because everything always is.

Just ask Skip, he'll tell you this himself.

She has had plenty of time to fix this if there are behaviours left over from when Rudd ran it. This is a piss poor excuss.

These sort of leaks are generally because some in the cabinet are not happy with her or the policies the cabinet seeks to implement. A further indication she is not well supported by the top of her own party.
