Australia as a watermelon republic
Will Gillard take the opportunity to alert Her Majesty to our governments veiled plot to de-crown & de-unionjack our flag and state on her last visit in a weeks time?
I wonder if she's had a sneak preview of the dirt-50 file?
Now Indigenous Australians are well aware of our governments underlying motive for wanting them to agree to our becoming a de-crowned watermelon republic, (stripping traditional land-owners of what little remains of their constitutional rites to their own land).... the irony of what stole their land to begin with, being all thats left securing their sovereignty, Labor insist their changes to the Constitution and transition to a republic will allow indigenous Australians to start-over on an even playing field, of which is a terrible lie.
See, the Commonwealth Government's direction in heritage protection, coupled with the proposed amendments to the Native Title legislation represents a double jeopardy for Indigenous people and their heritage, given that the proposed amendments to the Native Title Act will remove the right of many native title holders to negotiate over acts affecting their native title rights.
On 1 st January 2004, the Government of Western Australia, without referendum process, de-crowned the State of Western Australia making way for global investors and foreign industry.... and since then, life took a turn for the worse for our Indigenous people who are no longer regarded esteemed traditional land-owners in their own country, but are now second rate this and are forced to line up behind illegal immigrants competing for the minimal wage, more disadvantaged than ever before.
It's disgusting, we treat illegal immigrants better than we treat our indigenous people....we even denied them the formality of an inquiry into their health after we tested weapons on them during the 1950's and 60's.
Look whats happening in the Kimberlies as we speak...SA water contamination NT also...has much changed?
Yes, we do need to amend our constitution, this and secure traditional landowners rights to their own heritage, but in deceitfully convincing them we need to transform into a republic first is a double edged sword.
Basically, it will make multinationals and globalist corps, BHP and the Queen happy, given sacred-land mining will be a breeze, you only have to see what de-crowning the state of WA achieved, and yes, Gillard was charged with treason and forced to attend court along with many others (though managed to squirm-free of chargers due to a legal-loop hole) over their handy-work when they de-crowned WA.
The sad thing is, the crown, and Unionjack is symbolic of our having stolen from our traditional land owners to begin with ....yet at the same time, it's ultimately this expired tattered constitution of ours thats currently securing whats left of theirs and even non-Indigenous Australians sovereignty, and indigenous land-rights of which are currently hanging by a thread.
It's a double edged sword... yes the constitution is in need of improvement, hell-yeah, but if we abolish it all together, we are all screwed, our indigenous more so as they will no longer be deemed native land-owners in a legally binding context under new legislation, royalties wise, rather it will be cheap tokenism much like "closing the gap" scoff...that will result in their being divided ostracized, and stripped of their indigenous entitlements.
If it weren't for Indigenous Australians making life hard for multinationals and big industry, like greedy BHP down in Olympic Dam,(who are planning to send Aussie jobs off-shore) we'd be bought and sold by now, without a doubt.
This is why we need to work together, this and start respecting and recognizing one another more, given the Queen herself would rather divide and conquer us, in the spirit of global world order.
We need to be smarter this and stick together like flies on shit if we are to fend off these global parasites and multinationals who have all intentions of turning us into a quarry and 1st world nations food bowl, meanwhile, we are expected to import and eat other nations b-rate scraps.
Gillard and the Queen are tarred with the same commie brush...and whilst Abbotts monarchist, the Queen is more eager to turn us into a republic than he is.
Only two royals are to my way of thinking worthy of the crown.
Diana, and her son William.
Even in death, she is second to none.
Both sides of politics in this country need re-educating.
Neither are without fault.
But they must start listening to the people, before their people decide to stop listening to them.

Re: Australia as a watermelon republic
To this I will just add, I don't disapprove of industry, who together with farmers and other crucial home-grown industry and sectors form the back-bone of our nations economy, absolutely, it's just I just don't believe in the grandiose toxic expansion of Olympic Dam to appease global industry giants (who have all intentions of off-shoring jobs in China shortly anyway re-BHP refer to October 12 Senate hansard), not of this scale, who are hell bent on dominating industry, hedging Australian owned business and competitive smaller industry out of the race ...without competition, they can name their price.
Government has ignored well researched and independent scientific review concerning Olympic Dam, BHP , in pursuit of a UNtopian socialist agenda... this and have no regard for local communities, farming, indigenous, or otherwise...so who wants to live under power-lines or next door to the worlds largest uranium mine?
Like with their NBN, it's grow big, grow fast ..all or nothing... I believe in growing within our means.
We have our own identity, lets keep it this way.
I'm an advocate of independence, a free market... though don't believe WTO has the right to dictate who we trade, or compare apples and oranges with.
How can a panel of corporate executives who live half-way across the world and who have never set foot in this country know whats in our nations best interest?
Surely, this decision should rest with us?
No, because the gluttons want their pickings.
Fire Blight bitten apples from NZ and wormy imported small goods aside... we need to be self sufficient.

Re: Australia as a watermelon republic
Ok as it stands,,,,
PETITIONS (October 12, 2011)
The Clerk:by Senator Ronaldson
Petition received.(from 14 citizens).
Petitions have been lodged for
presentation as follows:
Australian Flag
To the Honourable the President and Members of the
Senate in Parliament assembled:
The petition of the undersigned shows:
We believe that the current flag has served Australia well
and will continue to do so in the future and represents a true
manifestation of the Nation's history.
Your petitioners request that the Senate:
Oppose any change in the design or colour of the
AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL FLAG.
"Labors insiders" rumor wind-mill is chattering away where it's alleged Queen Elizabeth II has practically get this, "ordered" Gillard to not wait for her to decease before pushing forth with a republic , but to perform an Australian republic ceremony ASAP in her presence while she's still with us, and was claimed to have said "Australia is ready, is grown up enough now."... to which Gillard allegedly said "The Queen has given us her blessings and will be reinforcing this before a select audience when she visits, but we cant raise the issue prematurely, keep it low-key until she gets here."
Hmmmm
Now, the media (no guessing which propaganda $pin-doctor$ ) are beginning to buzz with reinvigorated republic 'said' interest (more like self-interest) ---but who would have tipped them off? Being such a big secret and all...Shhhh.
Like crap it's a secret, and I can tell you now who renewed the republic debate, well is trying to.
- Paul Keating -- No glory, but still wears the crown
-The Shorten clan --(GG mummy-in-law Quentin Bryce and her hubbie Ausflag panel Judge Michael Bryce )
-Turncoat in the middle would have provided the digital medium, (lol Yahoo!7 news- AGAIN)
-Kevin07,11/12/14 any re-bound will do PM or President, he doesn't particularly care, and has a wealthy wife to fund his presidential style American campaign to his tastes.
Republican - Malcolm Turncoat (Keeps boiled lollies in his pockets for the young libs)
Democrat- Bill Shorten (he fancies himself as a bit of a Bill Clinton I think, GG's daughter as his Monica)
Decisions, decisions, which self styled private school elitist grub will you elect as Australia's first President?
Now our Republicans have been quick to respond with a melancholic defeated stab at reverse-media- psychology, ie "As much as we would like this to be the case, sadly, it's unlikely we will live to realise our republican dream on account of those bad evil nasty plotters destroying all chance of our ever becoming a republic any time soon--Oh woe to us." sob sob sob...
Gillard and man-bag have left the lodge,(7 month long restorations required apparently) when it's become apparent her cabinet isn't the only thing leaking like a sieve.
And the Queens coming over for whats rumored to be her last visit.
http://www.royal.gov.uk/LatestNewsandDi ... r2011.aspx
So, with a Gillard government failing so miserably, the prospect of ANYTHING BUT A GILLARD GOVERNMENT sounds almost enticing doesn't it?
I Think this is what Billy-boy Shorten is banking on.
If not this time round, they will definitely give it a crack come 2014.

Re: Australia as a watermelon republic
This government is almost intentionally collapsing from within itself, burning off dozens of MP's portfolios along the way (re-dirt files/silencing of the lambs) ....afterall, they wont be required now the culling process has begun... their remuneration tribunal will see to that...Oh, and so they thought they were getting salary rises?
Sounds too barbaric to be true?
We are talking about a despotic stalemate government in need of yet-another leadership change, a miracle....something to 'dazzle' and entice their bleating vote-base-- (Gillards task was merely to get the carbon-tax passed the senate and fail at everything else)---- And look, she's already packed up and looking for somewhere else to live.
Asbestos, and leaks in the lodge? ....WOW, they came on all of a sudden didn't they.
What 80 year old house doesn't have Asbestos?
As long as it's stable, not breaking away it's fine.
As for 7 months to repair a leaking lodges roof.....wow, just in time for the Queen not to be able to dutifully partake in her ritual lodge visit, Bad luck hu!
Perhaps it was just easier moving out than to pretend to be a defacto couple in the company of her royal Majesty?
That lodge must have been in terrible repair when Gillard and Tim-bot arrived, poor dears must have had to take an umbrella to bed.

_______________________________________________________
Gillard will now play the blame game, (Blame the opposition, Abbott will tell us what we already know, it's just her yet again, making excuses for herself..) due to her intentional policy fuck-ups, legislation she knew wouldn't pass, though had to stall for time... as the lazy scrubber was only installed to get the carbon-tax passed)...Mission accomplished, her services are no longer required, (To Labors faceless presidential hopefuls and corporate benefactors ie BHP plan) this is where Labor go into phase 3 after their next political hot-shoe-shuffle...and transform themselves into what I think they think Australians are stupid enough to contemplate voting for.....This being a republic, eventually, and if not in this term, then in 2014.
Afterall, what do they have to lose, this is how go-getting Keating operated also, when he took us to a referendum after toppling his own predecessor from the confines of the back-bench.
The faces might change, but the Modus Operandi stays the same, each picking up where the other left off to complete the faceless machine behind the curtains set tasks.
As Australia plans for a referendum on Indigenous constitutional recognition in 2013, it is worthwhile revisiting Paul Keating's famous Redfern in order to see it for what it really is.
On the 10th of December 1992, then Australian Prime Minister, Paul Keating, gave the speech of his life at Redfern Park – in an inner city suburb of Sydney with an historically large Aboriginal population – for the Australian Launch of the ‘International Year for the World’s Indigenous People’. The speech kick-started moves for the official recognition of Indigenous rights and wrongs and inevitably led to the official apology to Indigenous people by the Australian Government in 2007.----And because this closed the gap didn't it...smirk
In 2007, it was also voted by over 6,000 ABC Radio National listeners as the 3rd greatest speech ever delivered, behind Martin Luther’s ‘I have a Dream’ and Jesus’ ‘Sermon on the Mount’.
The following is Keating’s address, to a crowd of mainly Indigenous people, reproduced verbatim and including videos of his address:
Ladies and gentlemen yada yada yada
"I am very pleased to be here today at the launch of Australia’s celebration of the 1993 International Year of the World’s Indigenous People. (Buttered up the Indigenous after poisoning them) <---- It worked, Keating was and still is a beautiful liar.
It will be a year of great significance for Australia.
It comes at a time when we’ve committed ourselves to succeeding in the test which so far we have always failed." .......... continues...
:->---- Are we seeing a pattern here kids?
Then came the 1999 last-ditch republic referendum.
We did not please his Majesty, and or vote in favor of a republic, so he recklessly spent then spiraled us into a recession he said we had to have.

Sounds too barbaric to be true?

Jiminy Crickets, it feels like groundhog-day....I posted this all before over on yahoo and Ozpolitic....
And at the risk of sounding smug, and or implying "I told you so"... just think about it this time.
OK.

We aren't as silly as our giddy A-list celebrities Queenie, E, this and wont tolerate your pretentious, unconstitutional brown-nosing or involvement in our nations politics.
When it's clear, Gillard's approval rating has sank so low that Queen Elizabeth herself has to prop-up this atrocious government, and it's communist undemocratic shameful carbon-tax.
And will the Annual General Meeting of BHP Billiton be held at your Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, London, UK as always?

You blew it Liz, smirk--- we're well and truly onto you now.

Re: Australia as a watermelon republic
For Liz----
Shameful, fleecing the colonies, the less established settlement-class in order to prop-up your battered Euro.
The last time you came to Australia you attended the commonwealth games under a Howard government.
Tell me, why did you see fit to invite Gillard and defacto Tim to your grandsons wedding, though didn't invite Prime Minister John Howard to Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles?
A private affair?
If so, why did you invite the republican Bryce's?
Did this pip you off too Liz?
http://www.news.com.au/news/howard-snub ... 1113849685
We have enough socialist suck-holes in this country, trying to fleece us of our bountiful natural resources, we don't need any more.
Again, Howard was spot on.
Both Abbott and Howard are more monarchist than your hypocritical self.
Ps- Does her Majesty feel at liberty divulging how much she donated to the QLD flood relief by way of private donation?

Re: Australia as a watermelon republic
It's not the little corporations that are the problem, it's the ones who've gone global. And of course, the powers behind the thrones.
Not all royals are essentialist or communist, like the rest of us, individual royals have their political lean, and some aren't overly political at all.
Isn't Queen Elizabeth a little old to be joining Gitlers Socialist youth organisation, I thought you had to be under 26.
Gillard must have lifted the age to 99, due to declining memberships.

Re: Australia as a watermelon republic
The issue with republicanism is that it brings no benefit whatsoever to Australia as a nation for the 21st century in terms of our economy and identity. All it will do is drive a stake through the heart of who we were and who we are and give misguided fools bragging rights. Our British history will be rewritten and destroyed forever by the champagne socialists in the universities and government departments determined to stamp white people as genocidal racists. Keep the monarchy, it is what united us as a nation.
