No, employers are not going to wait for anything magical. Economics on the other hand is real, as will be the adjustments to the wage and forex markets that indirectly compensate business for the transfer of the tax burden from income to GHG emissions.

The only one showing magical thinking here is you. You have reached the end of your ability to make a rational argument and have switched to equating mainstream economics with magic.

Now, are we going to get stuck on this point like a broken record, or do you have some argument other than magic?

I'm not the one advocating magic. You are, but thanks for the admittance that jobs and money will go offshore for no particular reason than to satisfy the freeloader magic plan for environmental salvation. Why would you want to do that to Australians?

You seem to think that economic theory and economists are somehow infallible when all the evidence points to the opposite, but it's good you hold yourself in high regard. If you realized that you are on par with used car salesmen and real-estate agents your disappointment with your useless and futile arts education might be too much for you

So you do need to reject mainstream economics in order to support coalition policy?

Undemocratically imposing this carbon-tax will not be without consequence to the GALP.

The Australian economy will recover, (It might take a decade) the tax will be reversed, eventually, ( If it ever passes the upper house with or without industry and civil/pleb protest) GALP on the other hand will disintegrate from within the bowels of it's own contempt for that which it falsely claimed to defend, of which was supposed to be ordinary Australians.
Remember this...

Where are they now?

http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/c ... 011188.htm

Take a look, globally...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_tax

It's a red tax, not a green tax, and the voting majority are inherently aware of this fact.

:b .... You will wish you hadn't... wish you hadn't moved backward instead of forward.

Australians will be watching the upper-house very carefully, any seen to be supporting this unconstitutional and barbaric tax will have signed their political death certificate in this country.

The vote belongs to a nations people, not a party, or even a house of representatives.

Consider yourselves warned.

So you do need to ask irrelevant questions to support your magic theory?

Just to spite fuckwits like you, every oil change I do on 3 vehicles and a boat, I will burn every drop of oil and pollute every which way I can (at no additional cost to me) so enjoy your extra electricity costs and just think that every time you turn off your lights thinking you are saving the extra money the govt has put on top and you smile to yourself how you are saving the planet, just think of all the extra pollution I will release because of dickheads like you.

C unt.

That's nice IQ. Shame you couldn't come up with a rational argument. Now that you have convinced me I must be right I will start campaigning for the tax to be applied to retail petrol sales. This need not bother you on account of you owning three cars and a boat, unless of course you plan on using them. Oil is obviously too cheap if you are so happy to waste it.

If it passes the upper house, who knows what might leak from the depths of a sinking ship.

Gillards hung-over affect has far exceeded it's use-by date.
