The success rate of chemo is in the single digits. Other than for a handful of cancers (like the kind Lance Armstrong had) it is almost worthless ... except to the chemotherapists who make a very good living off this scam.

Yeah, I think chemo works for some cancers, and only if caught in the early stages. For most people, chemo is not worth the misery and side effects, and you die anyway. That's why I declined chemo for myself.

But radiation therapy is completely different - the kind given when you are lying in one of those enormous room-sized radiation machines, not the radioactive pellet implants - is painless with very few side effects, and works for certain kinds of tumors .. like mine, I'm happy to say.

Everybody's cancer is different, and docs should always taylor the treatment to the specific needs of the patient.
