Will Rudd be returned

Post by mantra » Mon Sep 26, 2011 7:31 am

There seems to be some speculation by the Coalition that an early poll will be held and Rudd will replace Gillard before the year is out. This is not a good idea and I think the Coalition know that it will only create more disunity within the party. They're counting on it - that's obvious.

Labor will bleed even more than they are currently as the backroom boys become increasingly unstable and backward looking.

I wonder whether Rudd would even agree to further humiliation by trying to help the party out of the doldrums. It seems unlikely. He's comfortable and after major surgery - doesn't need the stress.
OPPOSITION Leader Tony Abbott has put the Coalition on an official election war footing, warning his senior frontbench to prepare for a December poll - with Kevin Rudd as Labor leader.

Mr Abbott called a special leadership meeting last Thursday in Canberra to "war-game"' an early poll strategy.

Senior Liberal sources confirmed Mr Abbott and senior frontbenchers met to plan for a scenario that Mr Rudd would challenge for the leadership when parliament resumes in two weeks and call a snap poll.

Join Simon Benson's blog today on this: Can you see Kevin Rudd as Labor leader again?

The earliest this could happen would be late November or early December.

The meeting mapped out tactics to deal with the possibility that Labor will change leaders before Christmas.

the alp are in an impossible situation.

judas will lose, she is polling worse than dudd was.

they dumped dudd due to his polling. by that score, they have to dump judas.
But who for ?

I doubt she will last till christmas
I doubt dudd will get voted back in by the general populace

They should have totally thrown Peter Garrett out front, for the carbon tax, and then knifed him later :P

This patient is dead on the gurney. Even intravenous Kevin won't bring it back. It would be madness to try. The artery was severed In June 2010 and it's been bleeding out ever since. Nothing can save this one.

Unless.....

Keating currently acts as the geriatric talking head for the Labor Party. He tends to be rolled out for Labor loving support groups and conventions and by our ABC to avoid dead air.

Like they did with Whitlam then.

Paul is certainly responsible for many of the underlying structural elements in australia's economy today as I remember it.

Changes to pensions.
Tax file number used like a personal id like the National Insurance number in the UK.
Means testing of benefits.... not in the UK.

I loved his arrigance. He would have been great if he of more to the right.

Even I think that Keating was hot stuff as far as Political Leaders go. But enough of that... I more right centred.
