You're contradicting yourself again. What is it then? Popular choice or the admin's decision?
if people are driven off because their choice for mod didn't get elected are probably people that wouldn't make it here anyway.
Fair enough Monk. It's not up to me anyway. I'm just making suggestions. Most of us were happy with AiA and Boxy and AiA was the runner up. Some of us didn't know him - but we accepted him because he was the next popular choice as admin.

I didn't realise sprint or AIA were that popular, if someone read your posts all you do is bitch and whine about both of them like a bitchy old queen.

Look, I am just saying that popularity should not be a criteria for appointing a mod. We go down that path and eventually we are holding elections for mod as well as Admin. God forbid!
So, Admin decision not popular choice.

The admin who decides it's his choice of mod and too bad for the members whether they're happy - is an admin who ultimately doesn't give a stuff what the members want.

No one ever said it wasn't an admin decision, all I've asked for is what I've done myself, named the posters who would be mods so as no one is under any confusion who would mod the place and if they don't like the mods they don't vote for me,easy peasy.

Boxy would be a good mod, he along with AIA would be the best two posters to run this place. I would gladly withdraw my nomination and support AIA if AIA said he would appoint boxy as the mod.

It is an Admin who knows what is best for the board.
Look, Pasta banned me, skippy and one other, forget who, for a day. According to his lights it was the right thing to do. Should he have stopped and worried about his popularity first? The trouble is, you don't THINK. Just look at skippy. still spitting the fucking dummy six months after annie was appointed.

". . .if they don't like the mods they don't vote for me. . . ."
There is that popularity thing again.
