Then don't compound Aussie's stupidity from the last election!

An Admin should be free to name the mods he thinks can best do the job and must not be constrained in his choice.

Think about it and you will realise I am right in this.

You have only one agenda Monk and we all know it. I can't think of anything more fair than appointing the runner up as a moderator.

The admin will also have the final say I'm assuming.

What fucking agenda, mantra?

I am talking about generalities, principles, not this election. Look at skippy, still sore because Aussie appointed Annie as mod. You want this every fucking election?

..........I call on AIA ,sappho, monk, CM, DT and sprint to name their mods so we all know who and what we would be dealing with, I urge everyone NOT to vote for a candidate UNLESS they name their preferred mods.........
As mods I'ld invite skippy, mantra, neferti, AIA and sappho.

They all seem ok to me. some will prob decline.

Any general alterations wanted to that list ?
Count me out Sprint. I don't wish to be a Mod on any Forum. Thanks for the thought though.
thanks supernova.

I'ld invite skippy, mantra, supernova and AIA

I do agree that the moderator needs a good sense of humour and lots of tolerance though. We all like laughing at other members, but don't enjoy the same being done to ourselves.

The moderator would get plenty of complaints which would have to be ignored a lot of the time.

I think there needs to be a general rule for moderators. What's the point of having a moderator who the others aren't completely happy with. It just drives people away. There's another problem too. Moderators can't always be treated with "respect" and they don't need your foul interference every 5 minutes to tread carefully or else.

Now you are getting it! any appointment of mod based on popular choice is doomed.

If people are driven off because their choice for mod didn't get elected are probably people that wouldn't make it here anyway.

Look at skippy's six month childish dummy spit.

The admin is free to name who ever they like, I've named sprint and AIA, I'm up front, I don't do back room deals like you.
