What you fail to see is that the Labor party and the Liberal party are so similar now it is just edge tinkering that makes them different. For all the points you raise an equal amount could be listed with the fuck ups of the current govt. In truth they are both shit.
Point out the 2 most obvious, big headliners.
Malaysian Solution debarcle, Pink Bats/roof insulation fuck up.
Really, you are missing the problems with the Malaysian issue and boat people since WW2, no gov't in any country has been able to prevent this problem, so why blame this gov't only?
Insulation;
A program though up by the gov't I agree, but the jobs were given and applied for by contractors and shonky operators,
You ever heard of a JSA? All workers on a job of such must by law sit and go through the safety proceedure of a job they are about to take on, no matter how many times they have done it, deaths of persons doing the insulation work is the responability of the contractor, the boss of the job.
Put it this way, Mine sites, the ore that comes out the ground does not belong to the mining company, it belongs to the gov't, when there is a death on a mine site, who is in trouble, the gov't or the mining company, don't forget, the gov't pays (to some degree) the mine site to dig it out.
Fact; The mining company is at fault when there is a death or injury.
So why do you blame the gov't for the deaths in the insulation program? It is the same setting just a different job.
School building';
Education dept paying for the works, contractor gives a quote, of course the contractor is going to put a big price on it, it's money from the gov't, they pay anything to get a job done, it's typical for a contractor to put the quote up high on those kind of jobs.
Fact; You call to get a quote to have an awning fitted at the rear of the house, you get a fair quote and give the go ahead, the labour boy is injured or perhaps killed on the job, are you to blame or is the contractor???????

Labor wants the ETS (among many other things) while the Libs (confirmed by Abbott yesterday) want WorkChoices. Nah, no ideological differences, Jesus H Christ Janet!
Re: Bluescope steel and qantas
When Work Choises came into play we all lost good job security, at least 90% of workers who were placed on the so called one on one agreement with the boss, lost the ability to pay into his/her super fund, thereby reducing the amount that would have been normally calculated for a good retirement, a bloke does one weeks casual work today and the super paid by the company goes to a preserved funding, What is the sense in doing that? $100.00 put in then goes back to the super fund company in admin fees, where is the benefit in it?
Personal issue;
Worked for a company doing vegetation clean up for road works, got paid but the hour, that was fine, but when you did machine maintenance you did not get paid, when you moved machines 10ks down the road you did not get paid, why work 5 hrs a day doing those parts of a job and not get paid?
Fuck work choises.

Because this is the only government that thought to solve the problem through trading human beings for human beings. Fucking disgraceful.Viking King. wrote: Really, you are missing the problems with the Malaysian issue and boat people since WW2, no gov't in any country has been able to prevent this problem, so why blame this gov't only?

As litlle Johnny Tryhard did say to the public;
"We are not here to do what you want"
The only problem Australia has at this time is a new way of getting a job done, Australia has not had a woman thinking for it before, look at how much harder Marg Thatcher had to work to prove herself, it wasn't til she was out of the seat they realised how good she actually was.

So, you agreed to worked for someone who only paid you for (say) 3 hours of an 8 hour workday, and on top of that, they somehow forbade you from contributing to a super fund?Viking King. wrote:When Work Choises came into play we all lost good job security, at least 90% of workers who were placed on the so called one on one agreement with the boss, lost the ability to pay into his/her super fund, thereby reducing the amount that would have been normally calculated for a good retirement, a bloke does one weeks casual work today and the super paid by the company goes to a preserved funding, What is the sense in doing that? $100.00 put in then goes back to the super fund company in admin fees, where is the benefit in it?

It's funny isn't it. They squealed like stuck pigs about the Naru solution, but scraped it in favour of something even worse, and got put in their place by the High Court.Wile E. Hi ya boxy, how ya doin?
I did not make any agreements with the company, working away from home I didn't get my first payslip til 4 weeks after starting, it was down a few hours, so I questioned it and was told they would get details back to me, after 6 weeks of work and keeping a note of my hours worked, I found I was underpaid by more than $3,500.00, did I win the battle in court? No, because the company owners (husband and wife) had sup with the magistrate each saturday evening.

I can't believe you said that. Have you no morals man? We are not the cause of people smuggling. We are merely trying to stop it. That should not mean engaging in morally repugnant behaviour such as trading humans for humans.Jovial Monk wrote:Better than people setting out in unseaworthy boats.
FUCK! I mean no joke when I say Monk that through you I am getting an appreciation of the Nazi mindset. To you, and the Nazi's, it seems ok to cause one kind of human suffering and loss of dignity in order to prevent another kind of human suffering and loss of dignity.
The greatest sadness is that you would not be alone in thinking as you do. What is wrong with humanity that we cheapen its value so much.
I really am saddened by your comment. I've lost a little faith in humanity. I'm outta here.
