That's a fucking easy question. Just follow Monks advice, and start printing moar and moar money to pay for the next few rounds of 100bn+ Labor spending sprees.

Moar money... moar money for free!

Ah yes, he orgasms over Modern Money Theory. But still, he cannot or will not explain the completely irrelevant inclusion of tax obligations in that system except as a means of connecting people with their government... well, democracy does that. We shouldn't have to pay government for governance, as MMT suggests we do, not if we don't have to, as MMT clearly shows that we don't!

Meanwhile Monk, back in reality, where MMT is not a functioning theory because our Government acts in ways that does not support it, how is Australia going to reduce the value of the AUD?

Printing some money might not be a bad idea at the moment. Start small, see what happens etc etc- edge into it.

They have been doing that in the US and it is proving useless. The is speculation about another round of quantitative easing... Q3... because Q1 and Q2 didn't work.

There is a world of difference between the Australian and the US situation. We don't have nearly as much foreign debt (proportionally), and lowering our dollar a little would help exporters.

Wow, sizzling intellects. . .whining :bgrin

A govt creating (by spending) money when the economy is booming will cause inflation, just look at the Howard & Costello govt, 10 interest rate hikes in a row. Into or just before a recession it does not cause inflation, see the Rudd stimulus when the GFC hit.

Now, due to wrecker Abbott and global doom and gloom (and self-defeating austerity measures) world wide we are slowly sliding into a Long Depression. How can the govt change things around?

The wrecker Abbott. last time I looked he did not control either the house or the senate. He cant wreck anything. If you want to see where the damage is being caused I would look toward the puppit master with his hand up Gillards skirt.
