Pastafarian gets license
here ya go pasta, one for you.
An Austrian "Pastafarian" has been issued with a driving licence that shows him wearing a colander on his head after he finally won the right to wear the kitchen implement in the photo on the grounds of religious freedom.
In a post on his blog, Niko Alm said he received his licence yesterday after a psychologist passed him fit to drive after three years of trying.
"Today I was able to get my new driving license, and in it you can clearly see that I'm wearing a colander on my head to demonstrate my allegiance to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster," Mr Alm wrote, describing himself as an entrepreneur and activist against church privileges.
The spaghetti church was founded in 2005 to protest against intelligent design theory being taught in school biology classes in the US.
Since then the church has continued to campaign against religion using humour, attracting followers from around the world.
Pastafarians believe the world was created by the Flying Spaghetti Monster, who was inebriated at the time, resulting in its flawed design.
Followers also believe there is a beer volcano and stripper factory in heaven.

Nice one, fellow pastafarian. Admittedly its just a pisstake of Intelligent Design, in that ID claims that an intelligent designer (who usually turns out to be God) created the universe. Our suggestion is that the likelihood of it being a Flying Spaghetti Monster is the same as God or anyone else doing it, so our religion is equally valid.

A near death experience may very well change your view. It has for other (former) Pastafarians.
I would rather die than sell my heart and soul to an online forum Anti Christ like you Monk

Then they are idiots. Theres no evidence to suggest NDE to be anything other than brain functioning as a result of hypoxia due to near death. Oh and BTW anecdotes dont count.

Agree, Pasta. In fact, there is no scientific evidence whatsoever for the supernatural occurring in a natural universe.Pastafarian wrote:Then they are idiots. I always have a little tip for dealing with say creationists. If they say evolution is just a theory, you can then ignore everything else they say because it will be plain wrong and dumb.

Again, I couldn't agree more. Anyway, scientific theory is actually fact - that is, an hypothesis backed up by proven fact - and not at all the same as the common usage of the term.Pastafarian wrote:I always have a little tip for dealing with say creationists. The anecdote you don't want. I was with my grandmother when she was dying. She looked straight past me and said, in such a joyous voice, my grandfather's name.

Still don't see this as proof of a NDE. Again she was dying, brain becoming hypoxic, becoming prone to visual, hearing disturbances.

We know now how vast the universe is, how insignificant our place in it is that the Gawd of Genesis is just ridiculous and irrelevant.
