Action against Members.

Following the events of today which led to 24 hour suspensions imposed against NOIQ, Jovial Monk, Skippy and Ethnic....

I have removed Skippy's signature. I am putting him on notice that if he again uses the signature capacity to abuse a Member or Members, further sanctions will be imposed. I also wish to comment that I have concluded he has been the victim of virtual stalking by Ethnic, and as a consequence, understand, but not condone, why he lashed out.

I have removed Ethnic's Avatar. I am satisfied she was using that, and it's contents, to suggest the real name of a Member. She too is on notice that if she tries that again, there will be severe sanctions. I will also be extending her current ban ( which would expire tomorrow afternoon) details of which I will post before that 24 hour ban expires. Even though you fell short of posting a real life full name, you went way too far, Ethnic.

Jovial Monk's 24 hour ban will not be extended. But, he needs to shut up and let us do the job without constant calls from the back seat. Every time he directs any of us to do what he requires is having the effect of pushing me in the opposite direction. No more 'Mr Nice (consulting) Aussie,' Monk. You have forfeited that from me now. Toe the line of the Rules, or cop the consequences. Enough of your constant bitchy harping, already.

I will be banning NOIQ permanently, and that will also apply obviously to all of his socks....as and when I locate them. He has just come off a month's ban, and then immediately engaged in extreme vulgar abuse containing bestiality references. The final straw was that, today, he directly posted what purports to be a Member's real full name.

The next thing I need to say is this.

I will no longer be asking for suggestions about Forum Policy (eg concerning Shared Puppet, signatures, proxies.) I will just act and if I need to consult, it will be with the Mods, not the entire Board. Sue me if you don't like it.

I have banned Ethnic until the 6th July, 2011. Contrary to posts* from deepy, NOIQ and Skippy, the name of a Member was not splashed all over the Forum. After quiet investigation, it became very clear that Ethnic had used her avatar to post a jigsaw of clues, which, if in the know, would lead to the full name of a Member. I did not see it.....until the relevant Member, via PM, gave me his full name. Once you have that information, then what Ethnic was doing was obvious, even though she patently quite deliberately scrambled the clues, so that in reality the only person who was aware of what she was doing was the Member concerned.

But, that is enough to earn the ban.

*As for that crap ...... I am already on record as being willing to take action against Members who make false allegations about security here. Lies were being posted concerning claims that a Member's name was all over PA. In truth, what was all over PA was a scrambled jigsaw of a name, and no-one would have known other than those in the know, and according to the Member concerned, that did not include deepy, and NOIQ.

Why were none of these dramatic and drastic actions NOT necessary before you returned Aussie?
