Re: A PM from Shared Puppet
Only describe person as it. Not using the actual word, that sort of thing has been done whenever it has been proscibed.
boxy used it with one space between the ‘u’ and ‘n’

Re: A PM from Shared Puppet
Buggered if I agree that this is major priority.......Actually... there is another dilemma that must first be address. Why are you letting JM use the 'c' word which is strictly forbidden? Favouritism perhaps? Disrespect for the females on forum per chance?
That anti 'fluffy bunny' Rule is PA traditional. Yes, I know it is so readily got around, and if truth be known, I too have probably been naughty using variations.......but never addressed to a female.
Odd..................given I feel quite relaxed about referring to a bloke as a 'prick.'
But....never in my real life, or here, have I ever addressed a female in any circumstances as a 'fluffy bunny.' Never have, never will.
Yet, in places like this, even women use the expression.
Maybe, I ought consider nuking that Rule.
Re: A PM from Shared Puppet
No. It is a good rule. I do not like the way the word is used and I suspect that I am not the only female on this forum who feels that way.Aussie wrote:Maybe, I ought consider nuking that Rule.Actually... there is another dilemma that must first be address. Re: A PM from Shared Puppet
Sure... it is not considered as lowly as the 'c' word.Aussie wrote:

Re: A PM from Shared Puppet
Ya see.....given my vintage, I agree with you........but.........but..........that is just me and mine, and you. However, many might suggest we are being precious prudes. We have been overtaken by x and y....so should I not make the necessary adjustment?
Re: A PM from Shared Puppet
I've never been swayed by popular opinion. It's a lowly word, and you will find people in their twenties and thirties agree with me. I'm only early 40s and I agree with me!Aussie wrote:Ya see.....given my vintage, I agree with you........but.........but..........that is just me and mine, and you. I'm sure you do. Just like I have said loud and long........................
"Everyone is entitled to my opinion."

Chaucer used the word, Shakespeare used the word.

I thought this was a board for adults?
