As someone with experience in property, what signs would you look for tell you that the market had probably bottomed, prices probably weren't going any lower and that it might now be a good time to buy?

But some relatives who earn much more than we do have just informed us that they are selling their investment property because the financial burden is becoming too much. As I have always thought, it really has been allowed to become much to expensive for people of ordinary means to afford a house with a prudent and sensible level of debt repayment.

Ahh ok. When you get back .. I would love to hear a bit more about this.

It will be very beneficial for us to look at why an investment property doesn't always work out.

Prove me wrong ... here's a really easy test ... if a party was interested in an existing dwelling intended to remain on the site, or for relocation, what are the 1st 2 factors/features to check/inspect? .. same 2 answers apply to both options.
