Which is what has been happening for quite some time,
which is why many industries go to China to have something produced, "Cheaper labour"
bring it back and make 500% profit, so, who is ripping who off, China or the local industries?

Thank labor and the unions for making us uncompetitive on a world market.

With any luck, labor and unions will also make our raw materials also uncompetitive on world markets with their carbon tax and MRRT/RSPT/whateverthefucktheywanttocallitthisweek
Yeh labor! :roll:

Labor and unions have nothing to do with it, sure the job of a union is to bring a company to it's knees, always has been,
no arguement there, but when the Howard gov't took away the right to have job protection it also took away job security, meaning the boss could kick you out without a reason.
So far as raw materials go, if you are producing something and someone from outside you country offers you multi millions of dollars for it, would you continue to make it here or sell off to get rich quick?
Australia no longer has it's icons, they were all sold off, not by the gov'ts, by the business/company owners so they could fatten the wallet.

All it really meant is that Labor effectively lowered productivity

As is their perogative should they wish or they find out that to do business in Australia is too fucking expensive and unproductive due to your good buddies. Hence your unproductive unfair dismissal bullshit is fucking useless anyway

Well done sunshine :roll:

Example (a);
Your a person with a load of diplomas behind you, you romp up to maybe NAB, you present yourself and say "Also, I want $25mil bonus at the end of the year written into the contract"
they say "There's the door, piss off"
You are now not a happy Joe, you have lost incentive to go back and try again.
Example (B);
You apply to an add made by NAB, they tell you in the interview that you will have a $25mil bonus at end of year, you are now extremely happy and do your best to make sure all goes well.
Example (C);
You are a common get your hands dirty worker, been with the company 10 yrs, all has been great working with them, never a problem because you have job security, you've been getting a pay rise every couple years, things are good and you work your best with happy attitude because of it all, plus you can contribute to the compulsary super fund.
Example (D);
The company you have been working for over the last 10 yrs gets the news that unions are outlawed, the worker no longer is protected, you now have to sign a workplace agreement, that has things like,
1)you will no longer be getting a morning tea break,
2)you have lost the ability to contribute to the super fund which now will lower the expected value for when you retire,
3)you can be replaced without notice or reason,
4)you are expected to do repair work and maintain machinary without pay, only productive time is paid.
5)you will no longer be paid overtime rates and must work half day saturday at flat rate.

Your incentice to continue working for that company is gone,
do you stay with a happy attitude or walk out?????
Be fair with you answer, don't give bullshit as you would normally.
Because I tell you now, with poor attitude workers, production will drop,
with happy workers, they work harder to produce more.
