As I said to my Muslim (token Muslim? ) nothing wrong with not being beastly drunk, nothing wrong with dressing a bit modestly rather than as a tart but the Muslim law/customs just went too far. He agreed with me and said that the burqa/veil was not something Mohamed wanted, that that was added after his death. That does tally with something I read on a Muslim forum. Any one know for sure?

I hate all religion, all shaman incl naturopaths getting people to go off chemo etc. To me 'faith' is a dirty word.

As regards the Israel-Palestinian mess where do you start? I for one would like to see the refugee camps emptied and the people resettled elsewhere. That would be one way to cool the situation and improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. Then real negotiations could begin, even some resettlement of Palestinians in Israel.

If Sprintcyclist's article on OP is anything to go by - it looks as though Hilary Clinton is already demanding that Hamas abide by all past agreements. Why hasn't she said anything about all the agreements Israel has broken in the past - or is that irrelevant?

It will be interesting to see which view Obama takes. Although he appears not to have had much of a relationship with his father who is a Muslim, he is torn between two worlds. I wonder whether he will be fair and demand that Israel adhere to not only the Geneva Conventions, but all agreements previously made with the UN & EU. Once the Jews had possession of Israel - that was the end of all promises made. They literally bulldozed through anyone and anything in their path.

If Obama is a Centrist, which I assumed Clinton was - there are going to be some problems between them both.
