Actually the nsw election and the poor performance of the green was a slap in the face to the carbon tax proponents

If the carbon tax was such a winner, the disaffected labor voters should have flocked to the greens but they didn't in a wholesale rejection of the labor/greens carbon policies

This will set alarm bells ringing in Canberra

Speaking of the poor performance of the Greens ..

There are still NO Green seats .. I just checked the LIVE election results again. Here .. see for yourself.

http://www.abc.net.au/elections/nsw/2011/

Also I double checked this by clicking on the following link also ..

Seats in Doubt - Electorates where the result is too close to call.

http://www.abc.net.au/elections/nsw/201 ... ndoubt.htm

Nothing Green there either .. now or ever.

It seems the Greens will be sitting outside on the Parliament car park this term

Independents and more notably, the fishers and shooters party will hold the balance of power in the upper house

That should put an end to the evil greens pushing their agenda.

Freeloaders love for marine park expansion will have to wait for a while until insanity returns and the filthy green fluffy bunnies try again to screw normal australians in pursuit of fuck up ideology

Yup, idiotic choice of candidates, running on a Bill of Rights issue in an election where services was the key issue. What a stupid party—this was the election to put a real effort into, an unparalled opportunity for lower house seats. Bandt is doomed without Lib preferences.

Also, the Greens have been losing support in all the polls state and Fed. Rather weird trend but glad their support is ebbing, they have proved themselves idiots doing harm to their cause!

Nats improved their standing within the coalition—not a good sign for Fatty. The first bit of trouble Fatty will face from within the Nats for sure.

This is exactly why the Greens didn't do so well, although they obviously did in a couple of seats.

The constant negativity surrounding them by idiots who don't read their policies and are deliberately spreading vicious propaganda around about them. Most of their campaign posters were defaced with the word NAZI.

The Libs have made a concerted campaign to destroy the Greens and it's been going on for years. You want to get rid of them altogether and just have the Coalition controlling the States and the Commonwealth?

O'Farrell did nothing to deserve winning - the Coalition won by default only because Labor was so hopeless.

Remember the last time Howard had a mandate to do anything he pleased - well these dirt campaigns will do exactly that and we'll end up with a Coalition dictatorship where they have no opposition.

That is complete fucking rubbish. The result in NSW had nothing to do with the carbon tax and everything to do with four years of dithering by Labor in NSW.

Greens should have picked up far more voters if that were the case

True. It is unbelievable that people like NOIQ have little woodies over the Libs win in NSW, they've been in opposition for 16 fucking years, they've fucked up at the last two elections when they should have won and now the rightards are claiming its got to do with federal Labor.
The NSW Labor gov lost because they were tied old and should lost two elections ago, the longer they held on the more people got pissed off with them.
If the Libs had not won on Saturday they may as well have disbanded as they were never ever going to win again.

Have a little cry skip. Your beloved economic vandals got sweet fuck all, labor got the biggest rooting in the history of the nation. This was a message to all leftys. Your time is up

It is more helpful at this point to recall Paul Keating's famous maxim that "where goes NSW, so goes federal Labor".
