Polls predict huge loss for NSW Labor

Post by lisa jones » Sat Mar 26, 2011 12:03 pm

The final polls in the NSW state election campaign predict a huge loss for the Labor Party.

A Nielsen poll in The Sydney Morning Herald on Saturday shows the coalition leading Labor by 64 per cent to 36 per cent on a two-party-preferred basis, and predicts Labor will win as few as 16 seats.

The poll shows primary support is at 50 per cent for the coalition, 22 per cent for Labor and 13 per cent for the Greens.

The Nielsen poll of 1460 voters taken on Wednesday and Thursday shows a one percentage point rise in Premier Kristina Keneally's approval rating to 37 per cent, while Opposition Leader Barry O'Farrell's approval rating has fallen two points to 53 per cent.

Mr O'Farrell is still the preferred premier at 53 per cent to Ms Keneally's 37 per cent.

A Newspoll in The Weekend Australian predicts Labor will win only 19 seats.

It shows primary support for Labor is at 23 per cent, while support for the coalition is 50 per cent.

The coalition leads Labor by 64.1 per cent to 35.9 per cent in two-party preferred terms, and 65 per cent of voters say there is nothing that can change their minds.

The Newspoll is based on a total of 1488 surveys conducted from Monday to Thursday.

The poll shows 32 per cent of voters are satisfied with Ms Keneally and 48 per cent are satisfied with Barry O'Farrell's performance.

Mr O'Farrell leads Ms Keneally as preferred premier by 48 per cent to 32 per cent.

Labor powerbroker Graham Richardson said on Channel 7 news on Friday night the campaign over the last four weeks has been "completely irrelevant" as the polls have barely moved a point and people had made up their minds.

He said Labor's loss would be a "slaughter" and it would be tragic for people like him who had "spent most of their life in the Labor Party".

Voting will begin at 8am (AEDT) on Saturday and will continue until 6pm.

Mr O'Farrell will be campaigning from about 6.30am (AEDT) at booths around Sydney, before casting his vote around midday at Lindfield in his northern Sydney electorate of Ku-ring-gai.

Ms Keneally is due to vote in her electorate of Heffron at 9am at Rosebery in Sydney's east.
The outcome of the election is predicted to be a resounding Liberal-National coalition victory, making Mr O'Farrell the state's 43rd premier since 1856.

In the words of Whitlam .. it's time.

In the words of J Gillard .. we're moving forward.

The state of NSW is a mess .. and it's gonna take at least 5 yrs of pain to get $$$ back in the coffers.

WHY is it that LABOR just isn't able to manage money?

That's something which has always bugged me.

If you can't manage money .. you can't manage full stop.

WHY is it that LABOR just isn't able to manage money?
-Lisa

It;s not a case of their not being able to manage money, it's a back-stabbing go-getting dog eat dog opportunistic culture etched within the upper echelons of their Labor party- A corrosion of their internal culture.
.... unfortunately, the lower echelons aren't always aware of this until they get there themselves, find out the hard way the way Latham found out.

Read his diary's, what he says is fact, and whilst he misses a few things, (perhaps intentionally) he's a damn good writer, communicator.

Selfishness, self-sufficiency, blatant disregard for others money is acceptable, so long as you have gained personally...this is their ethic, and sadly, it wasn't always this way, whilst Bob Hawke was a commie at heart, he wasn't opportunistic, egotistical and dark-hearted.

What Labor are today, deviates greatly from their core political ethics of yesterday.

Now, their ethic is...

"Blow you Jack I can swim"

"Each man/woman for him or her self"

"Here for a good time, not a long time"

"Me, Me, Me, gimmy gimmy gimmy,"

And unfortunately, it's this very mentality thats at the black-heart of this modern US &UN imperialist twenty-first century Labor party.

See, neither Gillard or Rudd particularly have a reason to remain loyal to their party, because Like Beasley and quite a few other unpatriotic labor expats, they will head overseas, score a job with the UN or US...this or sap off the proceeds of their underhanded investments they made possible when they were in power.

Wheres Kim Beasley now?

Basically, their career starts when they exit , their PM/leader tenure is a mere precursor, transition period for feathering their own nests, what lies in store... which is why they lack the sincerity , ability and desire to complete a full term.

Bob Hawke was the last grass-roots Labor PM we had, and he knows Gillard is a chip off the old Keating block, and when it comes to machiavellian factional bastardry, she's up there with the worst of them.

Bob Hawke the last of a dying patriotic lefty creed come exploitive fascist self-serving go-getters who are out for themselves.

Latham had heart, but was a lose wig unfortunately.

I liked Latham, it's just the dark side of his commie party messed with his head I think... that and he quickly realised he was merely a fill-in, his position transient, they were keeping the throne warm for the following election.

When he realised his party was full of vexatious malicious two-faced dogs, it really hit him hard, as it would.

He was a nice bloke.

Genuine, albeit naive to the foul malignant stench of global fascism at the epicenter of his party.

He though he was leader of his party, though quickly learned he was simply expected to be a factional war-lords puppet, errand boy, the gullible fresh-faced poster boy they had all intentions of screwing over from the start. His position was transient... despite Gillards mocking insincere encouragement when she said and I quote...."Mark Latham is the best candidate to lead Australia into the 21st century."

The UN and it's globalist organizations are who lead the ALP, don't ever think for a minute Gillard actually thought she'd make a difference, because unlike Latham, she knew exactly what her role was, this and also knew what was required of her.

Julia Gillard’s speechwriter has been a confidential source of information for United States embassy officials in Australia.

And US diplomatic cables released by WikiLeaks reveal that the Prime Minister’s speechwriter Michael Cooney had been designated a “protected” source by the US embassy also.

Cable 08CANBERRA609, sent on June 13, 2008, revealed that Mr Cooney, a former senior adviser to Labor leaders Mark Latham and Kim Beazley, spoke in glowing terms of his future boss to US officials.

Why do they want a republic?

Ultimate power- It's every self-promoting elitist Labor leaders (note American Labor spelling) wet dream, to please their US imperialist red centered masters and the UN to turn Australia into the US's 51'st socialist soviet sphincter state.

Just like they said ...

"Australia".. ass hole of the earth- Paul Keating
