I don't deny the Holocaust Monk - never have, although I doubt the numbers. It was attrocious, but so is the Holocaust against the Palestinian people. Just flipping through a few news sites and every single item has - 700 Palestinians killed, 600 killed, 900 killed and it has just gone on and on. I am not a record keeper, but those figures I supplied are from those who have bothered enough to try and present a fairly accurate presentation of these deaths.

Do you believe that any official UK, Israeli, UE & US records for the number of Palestinian deaths would be allowed for public viewing - that's if they even bothered to keep any?

This is not about any particular race, culture or religion - it is about the persecution and suffering of certain groups of people on this planet.

The state always glorifies slaughter of young people. that proves nothing though.

A better solution might be for Arab/Muslim states to take people so the refugee camps can be closed. Of course, the way palestinians acted in Sadam's war on Kuwait Arab countries would be even less likely take them.

Absolutely ridiculous.. So essentially the "europeans" slaughter the jews.. Feel bad about it.. so they create a state for the poor..!! but guess where not in london, brussels or hamburg.. Oh no lets do it in the middle east.. So they get rid of them (lets face it antisemitisim was rampant).. and make it someone elses problem.

And now "Monk" thinks its a good idea to get the arab countries to solve the problem.. F****ng rubbish..

Call me JM.

You would prefer a few more generations are born into the hopelessness, overcrowding and squalor of refugee camps that have already been there for 60 years???

OK "JM" - so how do you suggest the Israeli's get rid of them? They might even finish the majority of them off in the next few days - quickly before Bush leaves office while there's a window of opportunity open. After all they've got the nukes and the latest hi tech arsenal.

Interesting how Israel is completely ignoring the UN's demands to put a stop to this massacre - but when it comes to "ownership of their chosen homeland" then they fall back on the UN for credibility.

Hamas is also ignoring ceasefire.

I am suggesting that Arab countries resettle people that are STILL in refugee camps in Gaza. Hamas won't like that, refugee camps must be good recruiting grounds for them.

The Monk makes a good point.

After the 1948 war Jews were expelled from most Middle Eastern countries, some Jewish communities had been residents of those countries for two millennia.

Israel accepted all her refugees and does not demand a “right of return.”

The Arab world will not resettle Palestinians and keeps them in permanent refugee status year generation after generation.

They do so for two reasons.

To keep the legitimacy of Israel in question, demanding a “right of return” and even after finally realising they could never destroy Israel they also realised they feared the Palestinians.

The Palestinians have destabilized several countries where they had power. They tried to overthrow their host in Jordan; they destabilized Lebanon and were a major cause of that multi ethnic and religious democracy collapsing into civil war. Those in Kuwait supported Saddam’s invasion (because he paid Palestinian terrorists and gave their independence lip service).

No Arab country wants them in mass roaming freely, let alone as citizens.

Indeed, no Arab country has offered them land to have a state on, not even Jordan when she controlled the West Bank up until 1969. She could have said this is Palestinian land and it must be a Palestinian state, Jordan did not.

Only one country in the Middle East has offered the Palestinians land and a state if they stop terror, both in Gaza and the West Bank.

Israel.

At the time - wasn't it called illegal immigration and hadn't Israel signed an agreement with the EU and the UN to restrict immigration? Don't official records tell us that in the late 40's early 50's - Israel encouraged mass immigration of Jewish people and to make room for them the Palestines had to be ejected. This was strongly objected to at the time by the UK and they tried to halt the stop of Jewish migrants to Israel.
To keep the legitimacy of Israel in question, demanding a “right of return” and even after finally realising they could never destroy Israel they also realised they feared the Palestinians.
Who began this fear campaign - although it may have been justified in some ways at the time because who wants to be forcibly ejected from their homes & land without a fight? Wasn't it Israel's first Prime Minister Ben-Gurion who called on the support of his mates in the Jewish Irgun gang, infamous terrorists, led by Menachem Begin who later on became Prime Minister of Israel? They knew how to scare the Arabs out of Israel.

Israel use banned dirty bombs.
"Three Palestinians have been killed and dozens more wounded by heavy Israeli tank fire and air strikes in Gaza, some allegedly by banned white phosphorous shells, medics say.

The allegations come as Israel vows to escalate its war in Gaza after carrying out more deadly air strikes, and troops battle Hamas fighters into a third week despite growing calls for a ceasefire."

Its just the Israel way of doing things.
