There's no deer or kanagroo season. It's pretty much open season on deer whenever you want to blast into them. They are a feral species. Kangaroo hunting is highly regulated (but the regulations are often ignored).

Feral deer are much tastier than the farmed ones. Mind you, they still taste to me like mutton, boring. Feral goat is great.

I've had Venison (whole on a BBQ pit) and it tastes a bit like veal, certainly nothing like mutton. Venison is a white meat, not red like lamb/mutton. Monk wouldn't have a clue.

Like veal? All the venison I have seen was red. You should stop drinking before lunch dahlink.

You obviously haven't seen or eaten venison. It tastes like a roasted leg of veal ... not the schnitzel stuff and the meat is whitish, nothing like lamb or mutton. You must have strange butchers in Adelaide.

Nah, you were drunk again at that barbie and were eating veal. The feral venison is much better than the farmed stuff but neither are great (my yank mates tell me elk is the best deer meat) and do remind me of mutton which I have also eaten tho it is hard to get these days, it is all lamb, perhaps some hogget.

So what's your opinion of duck hunting Monk? Is it mass slaughter or just hungry people trying to get a feed?
