'Prime Minister Julia Gillard's new tax will be used to allow Australia to meet its share of a $100 billion-a-year United Nations fund to transfer wealth from rich countries to help undeveloped nations adapt to global warming.

The Gillard Government is party to a UN agreement which Climate Change Minister Greg Combet entered into in December at a meeting in Cancun, Mexico, under which about 10 per cent of carbon taxes in developed nations will go into a Green Climate Fund.'

====================================

Julia Gillard lies about brining in a carbon tax then lies about where the money goes, Deputy Leader of the Opposition exposes at least 10% goes to United Nations World Government;

10% GST - to Australian Government
10% of Carbon Tax to a World Government

Howard; There will never be a GST in Australia
-But then it was applied to every essential item we needed and then some more, then it took about 2 yrs to work out how to apply it to a chicken sandwich, why is it that no one saw that Abbott took more than 1 billion dollars from health, then when in opposition he jumps up and screams, "Why can't you fix the health system? Why haven't you done anything for the health system?
Shit, he took all the money away from it, how on earth can that be rectified within a month. Abbott when asked questions leading up to the election, could not give answers, he umm and errrr and ummm some more, he has no answer for anything, nor does he have policy on anything but got the balls to stand up and accuse the current gov't for not doing anything

For the last time, Howard didn't sneak his GST in via the back-door, he let Australians cast their vote.

85% of Australians (minimum) think Gillard was deceitful re- her carbon-tax.

Greens, BHP and Westpack bank , and those with a handsome investment portfolio are the only ones backing it.

Not even the socialist-left are happy with it.

So Gillards displeased her own grass-roots it appears, along with Labor voters.

No, he didn't sneak it through the back door, he said there will never be a GST in Australia that dump it on us, there was no vote to say we wanted it, it was the fact that somehow even though the general public did n't like according to all the surveys done, he still got in, then he dumped it on us and laughed.
Personally, in 2001 in a qualified engineering workplace I was on $12.00ph, good at the time, then at about 2006 there was a wage increase sort for, Costello said that Australians are on a far better income than they have ever seen before, said no to an increase then gave themselves 10% pay increase plus a jump in thier super fund up to 17%, in 2008 I was on a casual position at $12.50 ph, not too bad for 7 years, I always though the casual rate was a little higher than norm, but not, wages had gone down apparently., not by Rudd but the previous gov't, they are only now starting to get back in line.

But this is way off the original suject,, lets get back to that hey!.

Victoria are wanting to get rid of GST and Gillard is behind that move?

Too hard trick??
Well then it's very clear, they want the GST removed,
if the Howard gov't could not change a simple road rule to make it fair, then how the hell will such a tax system be corrected or altered, the Australian tax system has been upside down since we got here,

How will Gillard remove the GST, why, through political will of course. Sadly, whilst she had some then, she has none now. Not a boo from her on removing the GST since she's been PM.

I reckon she likes the GST.

The GST is here to stay. The only thing the ALP may do is increase it .... perhaps in this year's Budget since they are so short of money .... There have already been leaks that the Budget will be "hard" and I bet you anything you like they will not cut any of Howard's "middle class welfare" for families. That would be political suicide.

Off Topic, sorry! :(
