That's not many countries. That's a few minor countries

Keep dreaming the big fuckwit green dream while putting people out of work you fucking economic retard

The difference between you and me, is that I actually care about people in this country while showing my disdain for the majority of them. You obviously don't give a flying fuck because it furthers your preferred agenda. You house your disdain for people in purporting to be for a global solution while there isn't one.

You are a fool and deserve to be knelt at the warmist trench with a bullet in the back of your skull

Yes Dihydrogen monoxide is also very toxic.
Perhaps, but methane is one of 4 basic gases in our atmosphere, always has been,
why are gov't around the world punishing farmers for it?
Can't blame Australian gov't for this tax or levy as they call it, it is being done in many other countries.
Viking, a handful of minor countries doesn't restore faith in the many countries which have pulled out, changed their minds, seen reason at the last minute.
You don't realise it, but you have been cultivated, conditioned into thinking "You have the power to save the planet", really, Global warming is about imposing a green-left global tax, to fund the tenticular rise of fascist neo-socialism.

Perhaps you should read this article.

Neo-Socialism Down Under
Kevin Rudd reinvents a philosophy to justify bigger government. <----------(You need to read this article)

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123359648072740013.html

Note how in Rudds essay, his core-political-philosophy is 'radically' different to that which he professed (which was more conservative) before the 2007 election.

In a nut shell, Labor lied then, and they are still lying to us now.

The real Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard never stood up, and covert neo-socialism (small 'c' communism) was the rational for their having masked who they really were, and even now, after Rudds disclosure, his essay, some of you just don't get it.

Rudds disclosure came after he was elected, not before, not unlike our Julias.

And Obama is another small 'c' communist.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122212856075765367.html

We really need to know what we are voting for, Kevin lied, he fooled us, I like many others thought he was centre-right, (economically conservative yet with social regard) when I voted for him back in 2007, and at the time I never thought in my wildest dreams I would be buying Howard's autobiography Lazarus Rising, and flicking through it as though it were some sort of divine oracle, Howard was right.

I was wrong!

________________________

With respect to recent poll findings and our nations overall (75%) dissent re-a Co2 Tax, this clearly demonstrates our nations disappointment and lack of trust for their current government.

They may have gotten away with concealing their small 'c' communism at the polls, but in the end, it all comes out in the wash and I think Australians have made this clear.

Goodbye small 'c' Labor, goodbye Greens, and goodbye corrupt idle independents who served as the 'labors' tools.

Britain is a minor country?

In the whole small 'c' neo-socialist scheme of things yes, and you only have to see how they needed to immigrate enough votes to have achieved their 'minority' small 'c' status to serve as a pilot light for the rest to follow.

Well, as you can see their plans have been foiled, even if their country are only just waking up to this fact now and have only recently decided to re-think multiculturalism. A divided society is easier to conquer, it's the small 'c' government agenda and how they exploit immigration to their advantage under the guise of racial tolerance is evident in Britain.
United Kingdom

In 1993, the UK government introduced the fuel duty escalator (FDE), an environmental tax on retail petroleum products. The tax was explicitly designed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the transport sector. Since carbon is in fixed ratio to the quantity of fuel, the FDE roughly approximated a carbon tax. The transport lobby in the UK was extremely critical of the FDE. The FDE, which was the UK's only "real" carbon tax, failed because of the political criticism it provoked, and the automatic increase of the FDE was cancelled in 1999. Increases in fuel tax have since been discretionary.

The politically damaging fuel protests in 2000 contributed to the government decision to reduce the real rates of fuel tax. At the time, tax and duty represented more than 75% of the total pump price. In money terms, the past increments of the FDE remain in force, but in real terms, increments have been reduced by the rate of inflation. In 2006, tax represented about ⅔ of the pump price.

In addition, the UK's Climate Change Levy was introduced in 2001.
=Wiki
Additionally, European Union climate expert has described Australian opposition to a carbon tax as bizarre, diplomatically pointing out Britain's Conservatives were more co-operative in opposition.

Oh, were we expected to follow suit?

I think it is clear they would like very much to have a steak in the abundant resources our comparably younger country has.

Blow you Jack, but we can swim.
Australians have woken up to the EU trying to screw them over, this and don't take too kindly to WTO, OPEC WHO, etc, telling us how we should do business and run our country. Fancy a New Zealand Fire Blight infested apple anyone?

It comes down to sovereignty, and autonomy, This is ours.

Britain may have founded us but they don't own us, and just because small 'c' communist left and neo-right large 'C' capitalists (<----note how opposites attract) have infiltrated both sides of their government doesn't mean the rest of the world should follow suit to bail them out of economical disaster.

Look at the state of their entire continent, their economy, the only thing that saved us was Howards extended years of conservative Liberalism in the lead up to a global recession.

And I'll bet they are so disappointed about this too.

If Malcolm Turnbull in the middle were still leading the Liberal party, we would be finished, he'd happily promote either the ETS or Co2 tax, being the unpatriotic opportunistic elitist big 'C' capitalist pro-republic entrepreneur turncoat that he is, given he stood to advantage personally himself investment portfolio wise.

Now is Australia's chance to preserve it's identity and autonomy, in the global scheme of things, and whilst it's good to have friends, we don't need to share our beds with them, and if we don't make a stand now we will forever be that hickville little dumping ground the EU can depend on to bail them out with our nations resources.

Do you want our nation to be respected or not?

Respect isn't earned by following others to their financial graves.

In other words the rightards refuse to entertain action on climate change until the USA and China take official action.
If the whole world takes that position, we are FUCKED. Confusionalists are greedy little turds who care more about their hip pocket than their children's future.
