It's good timing, Australians want a more border security and a review of refugee policy be they racist or not.. .. as most Australians agree, if only 'quietly' we just cant go on like this indefinitely.
I know Mel can't see this - so I'll say this with ease - does the dingbat realise that Hanson is a candidate for a seat in the upper house for state parliament - not federal parliament? She will have no influence over border security or a say in reviewing the Refugee Act.
Abbott and Hanson have buried the hatchet, both concede an element of determination, on both sides, all being fair in love, war and politics.
Yes I'm sure Hanson has forgiven Abbott for the public humiliation and the horror of spending 6 months in gaol.

She might be able to stop boat people coming in through Port Hacking.

O'Farrell says he won't deal with Hanson
http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/na ... th-hanson/
Mr O'Farrell says if Ms Hanson wins an Upper House seat, the Coalition will not be making any political deals with her.

"Absolutely happy to rule it out, but I think you need to put more faith in the voters of New South Wales," he said.

Australia needs you, son tells Pauline Hanson

PAULINE Hanson broke down in tears yesterday as she explained why she is running for the NSW elections: "Australia needs me."

Ms Hanson has aligned herself with candidates opposing immigration and privatisation on an "independent" ticket of 16 people contesting the Upper House poll on March 26.

She declared she did not believe in foreign investment, that Asian migrants had not assimilated, and there should be a referendum before state assets are privatised.

Fellow candidates include Katie McCulloch, who led a campaign against an Islamic school in 2008, and former Australians Against Further Immigration candidate Alan Cronin.

Ms Hanson, 56, said she had the blessing of her four children to restart her political career. She became emotional when describing a talk with her son.

"I told him I'm only a phone call away if I have to (speak to you), a flight away," she said. "He said, 'No, mum. Australia needs you more at this time'."

Ms Hanson needs 4.67 per cent of the vote to win a seat, difficult with no major party directing preferences to her.

Difficult?

No, I think she'll wing it.

Easily.

Yeah, I reckon there are enough NSW red-necks to get her over the line. But, what will a win by her mean? For her, sweet fuck all, being a Member of the Upper House, she will find her views are irrelevant to the function of that place. But, on a National basis....if she wins.......poor old Tony will be wondering where she will strike next.

Poor old Tony will be too busy laughing his arse off at Labor trying to out green the Greens with their hope that they can claw back 4% of their voters to bring their heads above water before they drown.

Greens are closer to making Labor obsolete every day of this parliament. Your lot would be best to just go to an election, bucket on the Greens for wedging you and try to come out swinging next election. Any more of this and Labor and the Greens will be fighting over a diminishing 20+20% 'power sharing' agreement, soon to be a coalition of the 'billing'

Paulines doing well ...she's mellowed, knows what she needs to do for her country, and she makes Keneally look like an incompetent schoolgirl.

Note: Keneally trying out her Australian strine in this clip, sounds like she's had a stroke, that or been to the dentist and her mouths a little numb.

She won't make the grade. She made a try hard attempt at a campaign speech this morning and fell flat on her face. The hateful feedback still flowing from it - is an indication of how little this woman can offer people or politics - especially in NSW. She's a Queenslander for God's sake and even worse - she still doesn't know the difference between Federal and State politics - bit like you Mel.

"She won't make the grade"
you could get worse than Julie Bishop.
I think the only reason Hanson didn't get anywhere is that when she spoke, it didn't come out right, it sounded racist, I think she had her heart in the right place but we read her wrong.
She ain't up there with the rest of high class pollies with 15 yrs of law degrees and everything else, she from down here on the street like most of us.
