So, you bitch on my threads to get them closed Mantra?

Because that's what it certainly looks like. Well big whoop, I couldn't give a rats ass, if I cared even just a little, I might even try and put the thread back on topic myself, but I figure, no point, you will only derail it again with your typical OCD Modus operandi.

Look Mantra, I really don't care if threads get closed, life's too short to care whether or not my thread will get closed tomorrow by some online lunatic, OK... because Some of us have a life.

Half the time when you trolled and had my threads closed over on OP, I didn't even know about it until you told me....because that's just how much I cared... Lol...I didn't, but you did! :D

Because it was so important to you that I knew you had closed my threads, ..when I honestly couldn't have given a fuck what you did or thought Mantra. Like your opinion of me will alter the very fabric of my being, ..seriously Mantra, you have been watching way too much butterfly effect, and have become increasingly paranoid and delusional in recent weeks...... Yes, and other people have noticed!

Do you even have time to attend to personal hygiene?

I know what your problem is now and who you are.

I'm glad you've got IQ backing you up - because his opinion counts for a lot around here. You are very inarticulate Mel and that will never change. You can't take the Western Suburbs out of a girl no matter how hard you try and you've already started littering this place with your hatred and lucky you - you've got backup.

I'm not going to stop you from doing what you want to do.

After having completed this course, I have intentions of doing another degree, ... (going back to uni) because anthropology and social media activism is not only a fascinating phenomena, a digital dimension worthy of study in it's own right, it's one we will need to be learning more about given Rudds 2007 was after all our very first social media election.

If fact, future election outcomes could be determined by how much any given party places emphasis on their capacity to appeal to others in a social-media setting.

I think this is part of the reason why Greens were so successful last election (given their comparably younger vote-base) than in years gone past.

Bottom line, the Libs and Labs need to move with the times...this and take social media seriously if they are to compete with a future tech-savey vote base.

Social-media wise....

Greens score top points, Labor run a poor second,(though realise they need to place emphasis on SM at least) and Libs run a poor third, ...this has to change!

Turnbull is failing as their communications minister, just as woefully as he did their leader of the Liberal party, and why?

Because he never wanted the portfolio to begin with, his intention was always to be the bride, not the bridesmaid.

Abbott needs to appoint a 'genuine tech-minister" to his cabinet....this or at least appoint one in secret to do what Turnbull intentionally isn't.

Will Turnbull Liberals communications minister challenge Labor re- the missing August archives?

Malcolm Turnbulls communications portfolio is somewhat 'limited' to his own vested interests.

There's more than just the NBN to focus on,communications wise.

Turnbull, always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

And there we have it ladies and gentlemen... the reason why our young people can't get into uni is because right wing 40 something women such as sMellie are hogging their places... you would think at her mature age she would be fully trained in research without the need of further structured undergrad guidance and feedback.

She should be on to her masters or doctorate by now... but noooo... not smellie... she has to go undergrad again. It's like staying down a grade in school.

It's uni online, and only another 2 years worth of study after I have completed this diploma.

It's not a degree a school leaver would be eligible for to start with , they would need to have completed the diploma I have, it's been purposely set up for those who are already working in the profession, so no Kids.

Further more, given 1/3 of our entire university placements are being filled by full fee-paying international students, I think this might be more of a concern, given whilst the overall placements intake has declined for non-full fee paying Australian students,(especially in the more competitive courses) our international full-fee paying sector has almost three-folded in recent years, so....

Since I actually work in this sector, every time I hear the old "international students are taking our students places" I'm unsure as to whether I should piss myself laughing or slit my wrists in depression at the stupidity that statement implies.

Firstly, international students are not taking our students places, they have a separate enrolment that means there are a certain number of international places in a course and a certain number of domestic students in a course. They may increase the full fee international students, but only if there aren't enough domestic students taking spots (common occurrence)

Secondly, without international students paying full fees, you'd find plenty of university courses would shut down over night, because there aren't enough students to justify running the course.

Thirdly, although what Mellie said was correct in that in the past, international student numbers have increased dramatically, we have now seen a tailing off and even a decline in those numbers as the expense of studying and working here means we are no longer competitive compared to say the UK or the US.
