Actually I'm glad the Libs ditched Turnbull for Abbot, because Turnbull is much smarter than Abbot and better at hiding latent intentions. The Brit hierarchy hate Turnbull because he's the spy catcher lawyer who embarrassed MI5, and Ozzies don't trust Abbot because he's a closet religious nutter who keeps making gaffs in failed attempts to appear macho.

Y'see Turnbull has a hidden agenda, water privatisation.
1st he hijacked the OZ republic referendum for an opportunity to alter part of the Australian Constitution preventing federal interference or aquisition of Australian rivers.
Commonwealth Of Australia Constitution Act
Chapter IV. Finance And Trade.
100. The Commonwealth shall not, by any law or regulation of trade or commerce, abridge the right of a State or of the residents therein to the reasonable use of the waters of rivers for conservation or irrigation.

Then Turnbull entered politics with the express intention of becoming PM.
He got Howard to create and appoint him to lead a new psuedo-bureaucracy, the office for national water policy, and got Howard's blessing to lead the Libs.

Once he lost confidence within his own party and was ditched as leader he knew his water privatisation agenda was no longer within his power to ever implement, so lost interest in being an MP.

The Dems are history.
Their membership base quit in droves after several of their pollies sold out to Liberal and Labor.
They were deregistered in Qld several years ago because they no longer had 500 members.

Barnaby means well, but he's as big as if not bigger goofball than Abbot.

Spoze you'd support the Joh for PM campaign if they dug him back up.

The mans no dummy, if a tad bombastic at times, though he's toned down a fair bit, has matured and settled ...I think he's ready to be picked.

How about LIBNAT leadership, Barnaby would make a fine deputy leader.

He had a spot and he was a complete waste of space.

The Greens and Labs wouldn't want Barnaby within cooey of their rainbow cabinet, look how he mowed down Penny Wong on water policy.

So I can understand why some might be opposed to Barnaby Joyce joining Abbotts cabinet, especially the paranoid radical left.

Gillards Bob Brown -vrs- Abbotts Barnaby Joyce... If Labor can have their radical Green lefts, then why cant Libs have their far more rational right?

Labor are in no position to criticise after bringing in the Greens. :D :D :D

I'm happy for Libs to have a rational right. But Barnaby and rational are mutually exclusive.
