Latham was always a psycho...as he has proven. Tony Abbott has always been a warrior of the populace and I gather he wouldhave been disgusted with the insinuation by a television reporter that has been the recipient either directly or indirectly of a bonus of $250M to his station.

In today's politics and personalities he needs to be able to sand up for what he says. People wil respect that. people know that our solfiers die in war. Shit happens. he must demonstrate we are doin everything to have the advantage and give our soldiers what they need. If he sumarised what he heard from the military as "shit happened" that is a clear laymans term for it. he should stand by it and give it context. he should be aware of the camera and be prepared to explain it when asked thereby killing the issue at the source. Trying to be PC about it just makes him look weak.

We need leaders. People will accept that everyone is human and will make allowances for one's personality. layman's language is more than appropriate if stated in context. In this case it was in context.

I dont think it was so much the comment as the response to the journo that shows Abbott up as a person unfit for the job of PM.
