Two hospitals and 25,000 people have been evacuated.
Police stopped people speeding away from Cairns etc—panic and high speed not a great combination!
Mods should move your crap offsite where it belongs.

You see why I posted this here in Politics. Pity the small balled/small brained one had to drag his filth through it.

It is massive... we haven't seen anything like it in about a hundred years... now though... there are more of us and our property to damage.Jovial Monk wrote:It is a big bastard, isn’t it?
Yep... largest hospital evacuation in australia's history.JM wrote:Two hospitals and 25,000 people have been evacuated.
Most of the evacuations centres are already full with doors locked... no one in and no one out.

This next image is showing only the eye of the storm... and it covers the north island of nz... amazing.

I am forever in awe of nature.

People’s pets are not being allowed in the evac centres, just an extra dimension of pain to a lot of people I imagine.
I find it odd we have the biggest fucking cyclone ever right when a La Nina weather pattern rules! What will happen when we next have a El Nino and hot waters off our east coast? What will happen when the sun leaves it present quiet state for a more active state? What if both happen together? Will make Yasi seem like a zephyr I imagine!
Down in SA, the eastern part is going to be hit by more tornadoes I imagine—Penola got hit by a dinky di tornado last year, bet this year will see more than one!
Time to get behind moves to reduce GHG emissions, including nuclear power!

When you read the American material you must realise you are on the opposite side of the Pacific Ocean.
Currently we do have hot waters off our coast, hottest on record and the strongest La Nina ever known.
During La Nina the cool water is beside South America.
Typical La Nina pattern looks like ...
