Really mate, what you're being asked to part with is so miniscule that I'm quite surprised by your attitude. The fact is the destruction is so widespread and costly that charity - while helpful and always appreciated - simply won't cover it. I would have thought that fact would have been obvious but I guess not. This is the attitude that media personalities like Kochie - despite the fact he is worth millions - appear to be promoting. How do you suppose that Bligh and Ballieu will be able to raise a NATIONAL levy as state premiers? This is a situation where NATIONAL government is required to do what the states alone cannot.

How blindly do you hate an administration that you would deny them the funding to rebuild a shattered state even though the contribution being asked of you over and above what you would freely give is almost NOTHING to you financially.
