Not only that this bloke says he is progressive yet says Abbott’s welfare for the rich paid maternity leave scheme “outGreened the Greens!” He is also opposing the windback of the health insurance rebate altho all it does is put money into the pockets of a few private health insurers!

How's that "greatest moral challenge of our time going"?Honest? Breathtakingly cynical will do anything for votes Bob?
You know, the one that Dullard concocted then reneged on then wanted a consensus then said we didn't need a consensus only another committee stacked with greens and other liars?
You fucking hypocrite

This fluffy bunny has no shame:
And his evidence for making such claims is...................sweet fuck all. Honestly, fuck this wanker and the moral high horse he came riding in on. And fuck you mantra for trying to make this opportunistic bastard sound remotely credible.GREENS leader Bob Brown says the coal mining industry should foot the bill for the Queensland floods because it helped cause them.
The floods are Queensland's worst for nearly 40 years, with more than 26,000 homes affected and at least 16 people killed.
Senator Brown said the Federal Government should impose the original version of the Resources Super Profits Tax, and use the funds to pay for the clean-up.
"It's the single biggest cause - burning coal - for climate change and it must take its major share of responsibility for the weather events we are seeing unfolding now," he said in Hobart today.
"We know that the oceans around Australia are at record high temperatures, and that's causing the moisture in the air which is leading to these catastrophic floods.

Re: A bit wet
I think he's partly right. Obviously we depend on coal for the moment so we need the coal industry - but what about the fall out from all the other mines in Queensland? Their toxins were spread all over the state. If the mines hadn't been in existence - there definitely would have been a lot less damage. I believe Brisbane's main dam is being held responsible for most of the destruction to the city also. Isn't Abbott stating that we have to build dams, dams and more dams. I think this totally unrealistic suggestion will definitely be nipped in the bud.Ethnic wrote:And his evidence for making such claims is...................sweet fuck all. Garbage Mantra!
If you drive a car you emit GHG, if you buy chinese made stuff you benefit from GHG emitted in China.
We have been pumping CO2 into the atmosphere since the start of the Industrial Revolution. It is the CO2 and CH4 in the atmosphere is causing Qld to get a bit wetter and WA in particular to get a bit drier. Main cause of flooding was the strong La Nina that boosted rainfall on the East coast.
No I love neither of those two frauds Mantra.

That has been taken into consideration Monk - but the mines and the dam are responsible for exacerbating the damage. That you can't deny.We have been pumping CO2 into the atmosphere since the start of the Industrial Revolution. You say the sweetest things Ethnic, but as far as ceasing with the fact challenged comments - I'd have to stop breathing first.Mantra is a loony who votes for a loony that is friends with a loony who led a system of slavery in Tibet. Well at least you admit that what you say is bullshit. You should take comfort in the fact that it takes a special kind of loony to do that.mantra wrote:You say the sweetest things Ethnic, but as far as ceasing with the fact challenged comments - I'd have to stop breathing first.

I find it difficult lately to take all this "debate" too seriously so if it makes you feel better to call me names - that's OK, because I couldn't be bothered taking that seriously either. You should take comfort in the fact that it takes a special kind of loony to do that.
I know that if I returned fire - there would be a different reaction from you, but I haven't got the inspiration to even do that.
Fire away Ethnic - it must be good therapy for you at least.
