And it is not just HN, Bunnings has forced hardware shops to shut (2 in my area,) Coles/Woollies has probably forced smaller grocery stores to shut, Officeworks has put stationers out of business (I used to get a couple sales people call each month, last couple of years that I was in business I have had to drive to Officeworks to buy stationery.) Christ knows what Coles/Woolies petrol is doing to smaller outlets—they are ripping us off for sure.

The internet and small businesses are the only freedom we have from these monopolies. The big boys are doing a nice job of fucking up small business and now the big boys are trying to stop online shopping. Well fuck them with a vacuum cleaner, I will continue to support local, smaller retailers and shop online. Prices never influenced my decision to shop online but the superior quality of service, better range of products and the fact that the goods are delivered right to my door were definitely positives.

Absolutely! I bought some software from o/seas, saved HEAPS!

Was going to upgrade one of these programs, to version 7.3, would have cost me heaps and I had bought versions 3, 3.3, 3.3+,5 and 7.1. I declined to buy 7.3. So much for loyalty! Thankfully, don’t need that line of software much anymore.
