These reports are very strange - I know we had the odd hot day in October, but overall the weather has been so much cooler. We haven't had the blistering day after day heat that we normally have around this time of year and the cicadas which normally emerge in November have failed to appear.

Russia is having its warmest winter since 1896, no snow 0-2 degree and quite balmy.

It was bloody freezing down here and it still is.

Warming up a bit here, nights still cool.
That report covered Asia etc, not just Australia.

It probably feels like a heatwave in Russia with temperatures like that.Russia is having its warmest winter since 1896, no snow 0-2 degree and quite balmy.
Are you in Victoria Hebe?It was bloody freezing down here and it still is.
I'm up from Sydney a bit and the weather is perfect. As Dita said - warming up a little, but cool nights. We've had just the right amount of rain - and storms have been light and passed through quickly. I hope it stays like this.

I would love about 10mm of rain to wet the garden down & fill rainwater tanks.

I'm no statistician, but the figures seem to be based on far too short a time of actual observational evidence, and extrapolated over a longer period.

Hmmmm. You sound like Kevin Rudd boxy. What's that mean in English?I'm no statistician, but the figures seem to be based on far too short a time of actual observational evidence, and extrapolated over a longer period.

Does that mean the figures are wrong?boxy wrote:I'm no statistician, but the figures seem to be based on far too short a time of actual observational evidence, and extrapolated over a longer period.
