Ratbags in action

Nothing like a good riot for a bit of excitement.

Hijacking of a very middle class protest: Anarchists cause chaos as 50,000 students take to streets over fees

Did you know that Chuck and the Horse drive there quite deliberately in the vain hope that their mere presence would help quell the student angst?

Nah .. doubt it .. most of the young pommies (backpackers) I come across are pretty tame, but don't worry, we send 'em home swearing and foul mouthed.
They're petrified of/by snakes. One time one of the crew says "snake!" and they've all jumped out of their rows [picking]. So I snuck behind it to see what type and said "Don't worry, its only a black snake, they're not agressive".
While they're all "Oh yeah, I can see it ... bloody hell ect ect" I slapped this 4-5 ft black snake on the tail, it went straight onto the track where they were bunched and they scattered in all directions.

But riots are exciting. Everyone should experience it just once. There's nothing else like a mob bend on mindless violence/destruction

I think they're a bit different in a crowd, especially if you start poking them with sticks :)

Sooo, do they have HECS debt type arrangements over there? If so, they're being a bit precious about it. If not, well they may have a point.

Only if your major is philosophy or economics or one of the other voodoo arts that guarantee you a loser position on the totem pole of life

Any one read The Black Swan by Nicholas Nassim Taleb? Never will I be able to look at an economist again with anything but contempt after reading that book.
