Get the govt (especially a Liebor govt) to keep their grubby little noses out of that which they have no understanding or ability
Actually, when you read the article, you will see it specifically says that the plan will require the help of the Japanese government as well as a telco that is 40% Japanese government owned.

Perhaps the Japanese companies trust their govt a little more than our companies trust a Liebor govt? In any case, I bet it isn't anywhere near the waste of taxpayers money that this will be

After all, the govt only came up with this napkin plan after they wasted $16M when they asked for tenders to their previous failed policy and no one turned up for their pathetic party

The govt should stick to governing

Telcos should stick to telecommunications

And you should stick to raking fucking leaves and cleaning school garbage bins like the good little tard you are

MR_STUPID is referring to the HIP and BER, having swallowed whole the crud the OO has been spoon feeding the retard. Both programs were good, both programs were stimulus programs and both relied on state governments.

The NBN is not a stimulus program and does not rely on state governments and is being run out by NBN Co staffed by experts in their field.

And Telstra didn’t even want to know about FTTN let alone FTTH and does not have the resources to do either.

So that leaves the government.

Oh, and what Lefty said.

Ummm retraction OO?
Ah yes, I remember that.

Japan has a relatively high wireless usage. Again, it's a fraction of the geographic area of Australia with a far greater population density. They've no doubt twigged that a proper fibre network backbone can enhance the speed and power of the existing wireless, helping to overcome some of wireless's limitations.

You really should stick to your level of expertise. I'm sure there's some gum you could be scraping off the bottom of a desk somewhere

Wireless works fine in the lab. When you start adding a few thousand users it is like a glacier. Really fast wireless really only means a fraction extra mbps in the real world. Wireless also suffers from latency and unreliability due to weather, interference etc. When solar flare season comes around be interesting to see how peoples attitudes to wireless change.

When you eventually take up the vastly superior services the NBN will offer, I'll remind you of what a lowbrow hippocrite you are. Just don't inform me when you register with 3D sheep-go-baaa porn, I don't want to know about that.
