I remember hearing somewhere that Jesse James used the alias John Howard occasionally. Would be a bit ironic, given Jesse's run in's with the Pinks, and Johnies affilation with their ilk 8-)

Draconian Liberal laws made it illegal for workers to strike for fair and decent working conditions, hence they were voted out by the majority and Howard was gloriously smacked down.
And that pretty much sums it up.

We might note that the final Howard term saw the biggest protests by workers since the Vietnam war rallies.
