No injures have been reported
That's good.
While it's understood it was initially caused by a gas leak, the fire sparked wild theories online that it was intentionally lit, with some claiming Iran was behind it.

Energy Minister Chris Bowen spent the morning trying to dispel the claims when he was asked by Sunrise host Nat Barr whether the fire was sabotage.
'It's no one's fault,' Bowen insisted.
'There will be an investigation but at this point, there are no suspicious circumstances. It appears to be accidental.
'It's not great timing but we'll manage this.'

Despite Bowen's assurances, many online believed the blaze was too much of a coincidence.

Casanova Bowen, or Blackout Bowen - however you know him, is a complete moron who couldn't lie straight in bed.

I detest that man.

It's definitely way too much of a coincidence!

My opinion:
We need a new oil refinery in every State of Australia -
and every State needs to find more oil reserves.
Maybe we should build one new coal fired power station in every State too?

Queensland government investigating possible new oil refinery in Gladstone.

In short:

The state government is in discussions with developers about a possible new oil refinery in Gladstone.

Resilient Energy Australia has put forward a proposal for an $11 billion refinery focused on diesel.

What's next?
The company has signalled it will seek federal financing to boost investor confidence.

As the nation continues to grapple with the ongoing fuel crisis, the Queensland government has revealed it is in discussions with developers to build a new oil refinery in central Queensland.

Speaking in Brisbane at a service station today, Premier David Crisafulli confirmed there were multiple sites being explored in the Gladstone region, with several interested companies.

The fuel crisis? -
The buck stops with someone?

One of Albos big fuel deals was for only one day's supply -
I hope the GG sacks Albo -
for incompetence - and criminal negligence -
he knew the Strait of Hormuz could be closed back in June 2025
he did nothing except -
he played with his cock -
he's an idiot.

The defence budget?

No money for: oil exploration,
or 100 days of fuel storage,
or money to build oil refineries -

that would truly help with our defence -
not just buying expensive toys.

A benevolent dictator is needed to do that but is it possible to find such a person in Australia?

Anyone would be better than the clowns in charge now.

After extending truce,

Trump says he wants Hormuz to stay closed so Iran can’t tax ships traversing strait.

It could take six months to fully clear the Strait of Hormuz of mines deployed by the Iranian military, and any such operation is unlikely to be carried out until the U.S. war with Iran ends, the Pentagon has informed Congress — an assessment that means the conflict’s economic impact could extend late into this year or beyond.
