A weak case?

It says.
https://www.ruleoflaw.org.au/implied-fr ... -resource/

The Appeal to the High Court
Mrs Clubb and Mr Preston appealed their matters to their respective state Supreme Courts and the issues of implied freedom of political communication were removed to the High Court (Clubb v Edwards; Preston v Avery ).
They argued the legislation on which their two convictions were based interfered with
the implied freedom of political communication and were thus invalid.

I'm not sure about these new laws -

just because a few people in a large organisation say something
that the Govt. doesn't like shouldn't mean that
everyone in it gets tarred with the same brush.

It's the same as when they banned bikie gangs in most States.
Some of those blokes just like riding Harleys with their mates -
that's all they did for a hobby.
Many held down responsible white collar jobs.

Hizb ut-Tahrir should be banned. They should have been banned years ago. Even Arab countries have them banned.

Why do you want them free to preach their brand of hate and recruit stupid 'Aussies?'

Why do you think they've been banned in Bangladesh, China, Russia, Pakistan, India, Germany, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan and "across Central Asia", Indonesia and all Arab countries except Lebanon, Yemen and the UAE.

I'm surprised at you Bobby. I've been calling for them to be banned for years.

What if there are 100s of them?
Are we going to lock them all up?
Are our jails large enough?

What part of "they are TERRORISTS" seems to be eluding you? Most come and go so they can be denied entry and those here can be deported.

Now you're getting hysterical -
there are probably only a couple of terrorists in their group.

Nazi Germany:

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

—Martin Niemöller
